Registry weightings are based on PSA 8 prices, correct? If you're putting a set together in PSA 6-7, have you ever let the registry weightings decide which cards you buy in 6 and which ones you buy in 7 to maximize your overall grade. Buy the card not the holder.All the same sizes weigh the same as eachother. A lot of set weights are flawed in their infant stages of the registry concept.Some that weigh 1 doesn't necessairly mean the card is any easiier than another with a higher weight.Not always the case but you get the point. -

I am going assume your mean either Rating or Weight GPA in the set registry, not the grade of a specific card. SMR vs. registry weight
Does anyone know why cards are sometimes weighted higher in the registry, but are lower on the SMR? For example, on the Jimmie Foxx Basic Set, card #1 1934 GOUDEY R320 JIMMY FOXX has a weight of 10 and card #23 1932 U.S. CARAMEL R328 JIMMY FOXX has a weight of 3.5. Set registry question, what is “weight”?
Hello, Long time Mercury Dime collector here. Could someone explain to me how and what this “weight” system is in the set registry. I mean, how does a 1919 D Mercury Dime have a weight of 10.0 while a more expensive Merc like a 26-S only have a weight of 7.0? I know I should know this. Thank you in advance! Jeff -
