Can’t find the prior Taylor post. On 6-30-59 Cardinals played Cubs at Wrigley. Musial at bat, Bob Anderson pitching, 3-1 count, next pitch gets past catcher Sammy Taylor and goes to backstop. Anderson and Taylor contend to home plate umpire Delmore that Musial tipped ball with bat. Since ump called it ball, play is live.… -
