Do you remember your first?

Remember when you bought your first CC Morgan? Well, getting your first CC Eagle is just as energizing. The coin is not quite this dark, probably could use another lamp. Feel free to post 'em (your first of anything).

I remember selling an '85 CC Morgan on eBay and the buyer returning it. I wish I still had it. Even though I don't like rainbow toning, it was kind of cool. I remember strolling into a coin shop looking for a tweny center in CC for my 7070. The dealer had one but it was fake. He wanted to know how I knew. I told him I knew by looking at it and feeling it.

I don't remember the specific topic; however, I do recall being called an alt, and I had no clue what that was. image

The first CC eagle I ever catalogued belonged to a guy named Harry Bass -- that was the collection that ended up on my desk my first day working for Bowers and Merena 12 years ago.

The first CC eagle I ever owned was a brass contemporary counterfeit 1891-CC from hand-engraved dies. I wish I still had it!

I love anything & everything having to do with the old comstock silver lode but I don't actively collect most CC coins.

Bought a roll of CC Morgans, mixed dates and mixed grades for $30 per coin. First gold was 79cc $5.
