I'll be buying up to 5. Sucker for low mintage stuff that very well could get the axe. Not sure what would prompt them to have an ordering limit on this one. Hasn't been a stampede on these for a while.

The ease with which you could use the mint site might be telling you something.

I don't have much use for this stuff. It's an example of how far off the rails the mint has gone with their offerings.

Same here - picked one up as well.

I sent in the five from 2010 - all graded 69 except for one 68.

I figured I'll submit the 2011 dated 5 oz's P's once I receive the last one;
Chickasaw is to be released on 02-09-12.

I should have the last one by mid March - and will bring them all
to Baltimore to drop off at the PCGS counter. If the program continues,
the last coin for ATB is in 2021.

I can tell you that will be the last coin I buy from the Mint. By then, I'll be as old as dirt !

Silver is at 30 an oz so thats 150 bucks, really its only 10 bucks above per ounce and its from our Mint.

It's telling me to expect some very low mintages in the future.

Maybe sooner than later, I am sure what doesn't sell will get put back into the melting pot leaving some of these under 10,000. Plus I really like this design and the Chickasaw. Enjoy

None of the 2011 designs grab me except the Vicksburg. I'm a sucker for ships, I guess...I'm going to buy two or three.

Though I do wish the obverse didn't have to be Washington. How about the obverse from a 1917 Type 1 quarter? I don't doubt that would increase sales...especially if they made the SP in high relief.

Update, Effective January 25, 2012 at noon (ET), there are no household order limits for this product. Funny how they took these orders Jan 12 and mine is still showing backordered, now till feb 5th. Anyone get theres yet? Cancel box is still there and silver is going up woohooo.......Enjoy

I like this design also. I like the Gettysburg for it's historical significance, but the other three from 2011 are just nature scenes. I'm thinking about picking Vicks up with silver on the rise.

Just got my Vicksburg from the mint. Not bad...I like the uncirculated finish a lot. Not a nick that I can find. The engraving for G. Washington's bust looks really sharp, not melted like in the business strike. And I can't think of another coin out there depicting a Mississippi ironclad monitor.

My Vicksburg arrived yesterday - and its got a tiny-tick on the rim - about 1/64" and
close to it are a half dozen microscopic rim hairlines. Its a real pain returning stuff to
the Mint - but the one I received might not get a 65... let alone a 68 or 9 ...

NICE coin Fountain - mine came in yesterday and is also magnificient. I am collecting a copy of each as they are released.
I think this is one of the most unique product offerings from our beloved USMint ever.

After my disappointment with the 2010s (I bought a DMPL slabbed set) I've decided to be more selective. I might buy another Vicksburg but the next one on my hit list is -

- the Hawaii Volcanoes Nat'l Park, due out next year, I guess. Nothing grabs one's attention as much as a big volcano right in front of one's eyes! (This one might even be worth buying colorized.)

I didn't care for the Gettysburg---they could have done better than a statue of a soldier swinging his rifle like baseball bat. Looks silly since he should have been using his bayonet.

FYI, the photos were taken with my Blackberry, the boxed coin illuminated by a desk lamp with paper taped over the bell as a diffuser. With its bright sky and shadowy river the photo of the reverse is more life-like than the coin itself!

I bought the Gettysburg P last year. I like the bullion play now, so bought the Vicksburg because I like the design. These will be the only Ps I will buy for the 2011's. May buy the Hawaii if pricing stays at just about $30 over spot.

I am happy to see there is some interest in these. I was worried the interest would never pick back up. I don't mind a long term hold say 10 to 20 years but 50+ yikes.

I agree about George, but it never seemed to bother me on the smaller quarters.

Well they released the quarters of this one and I must say this is another one that I think will pop in hand. I can only hope to go back to work this summer to keep this up and as long as silver doesn't take a hike in between. Enjoy

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe El Yunque is the only America coin ever to depict a frog.

It may be a matter of taste but I think I'll skip this one.

Opened my Vicksburg and found this.

"Quarter Dollar" looks like it was smashed at the bottom, still looks frosty not like it was hit with anything.

If my wife lets me take it home (long story) I will take a better pic on Sunday.

On the 5oz P pucks I've seen the marks near the rim are fairly common. The weak strike on the "Quarter Dollar" bothers me more. If your unhappy, send it back for a replacement.

I really like the El Yunque quarter, and am surprised there hasn't been more talk about it on here. I haven't bought any 5ozers since 2010, but may buy one of this one, and a roll of the quarters.

Well just looked at mine and the lettering is strong on the bottom, not smashed so you may want to send that one back and try another if it shows that much. I also am going to pick up the rolls of quarters from Puerto Rico and look forward to picking its five ounce counterpart. Other members have already said they have never even heard of this park and have no interest, which is kinda funny as with all coins alittle research can do wonders.......heres a link with pictures of this amazing place.....Enjoy

Pictures of this park. And I just noticed the different pictures of the Reverse of the coins and it looks as tho this one design was picked over the others. pretty cool.

I think the axe-head lettering looks pretty neat, not "smashed". I wonder if this is a distinct variety rather than a die error.
