I used to think I would also buy one of each "P" pucks but then realized I relly don't have that much safe storage. I probably don't even have that much unsafe storage available!
Successful trades/buys/sells with gdavis70, adriana, wondercoin, Weiss, nibanny, IrishMike, commoncents05, pf70collector, kyleknap, barefootjuan, coindeuce, WhiteTornado, Nefprollc, ajw, JamesM, PCcoins, slinc, coindudeonebay, beernuts, and many more
I bought 11 of them (5 when they were released, 6 more once the limit was raised) and reviewed all of them this afternoon. The problems listed are all associated to the rim on the obverse side:
6 with nicks visible to the eye 3 with spots near the edges (1 of these is counted above with the nicks) All had some type of minor scratch(es) on them, some much worse than others (eg: 2 looked like they had been scraped along a metal table with scratches all around the rim).
I'm sending 2 of the better ones to be graded by PCGS, the rest are going back to the Mint tomorrow. I was hoping for better quality, this was my first time buying this many in bulk and reviewing them (I had bought the 25th ASE's).
I'm skipping the next release from the Mint, though I really want to get the Hawai'i and El Yunque ones (if they release them).

They do take up a lot of room in their original government packaging.

Just happened to look at tomorrows sale for the Chickasaw and went and looked at the bags and rolls, Right now there selling the new El Yunque Quarters 100 coin bags for the old price of 34.95. All of the others are being sold at the 49.95 has anyone else noticed that? I Put a bag of each in my cart and tomorrow will pick up the Chickasaw with those. Funny the price on those is back to the old price? hmmmm ..........Enjoy

Why not make a Whitman or Dansco Album for them with 3 per row. I would love to se that puppy.
I bought one. I'm in for one of each on the day of sale. I actually like the things. I think at least three other collectors in the U.S. are doing the same.

My Vicksburg looks flawless. Will remain raw. Not worth the price getting these things graded anymore. If you want first strike looking at $80 a coin. Not worth it on these. Only have the Gettysburg also for the 2011s. Don't want the other 2011s. I will be selective on the P versions.

I too have only picked up the vicksburg and chickasaw for 2011 and will get Hawaii and Puerto Rico for sure in 2012. And no more grading for me, would like to see an album to hold these and I can't wait to open them bags of the quarters Puerto Rico)for the price its hard to pass up and hopefully they will remain at the 34.95. Enjoy
Tommy, an album would have to be pretty sturdy and well-designed for these. I'd like to see it happen, but I suspect that it won't unless some enterprising individual takes a shot at "album design & manufacture".

Did any one get a dud UPS tracking number from the Mint for the Chickasaw? The mint website says shipped yesterday with a UPS tracking # but the UPS website says no record ?

Look again later today or tomorrow....it takes time pick-up your shipment from the mints shipper. Once in hand the number will be good.
I made my order for one today. I'm still not sure if I'll get any 2012's and further.

I bought the Getty and the Vickie also, but am on the fence about the rest. I really like the Civil War connection for those two and they are pretty good designs IMHO.

I'm keeping them all raw. I think that it will be a neat set when finished. I order on the day of issue so that there is plenty of time to exchange if one is not perfect. So far I've been pleased with the quality and have only exchanged one.

Now the question is Do you want a holder that can hold them IN the ogm holders or are we taking them out of that and putting them raw into an album? I have a few old whitman albums unused and for fun will cut up one and see how it looks. I did email one of the big companys and waiting to hear back and see if such a thing is feasible. Enjoy

I am keeping the Vicksburg, and will continue to buy at least one of every P-puck.
I may buy a couple extra of the ones I like at $204.95.
