I suspect an unusually large number of counterfeits are about to be identified.

The idea is a no brainer. The hard part is making it work (mgmt, investment, training, etc).

    I wish them luck. image

Have to wonder if opening a office there will give them some legal recourse against the counterfeiters there.

This might give the counterfeiters better access to good coins in order to improve their craft.

It's about time PCGS did this. The competition has been there for a while and every day they aren't there they're losing potential market share.

Should have been done earlier. NGC has been cornering the world coin market and I like both companies for what they do image

It's a global market. Of course, it always was. See "chopmarked" trade dollars come out of the woodwork, now. image

And yet at NYINC they won't even take submissions, much less grade coins.

Don, this stockholder supports the decision but wants to know how you plan to maintain consistency in grading at two different locations with two different management teams.

I really hope the service out of PCGS Hong Kong is better than ATS. Tried calling ATS's HK office to ask a question - huh? what? sorry? pls email and we'll get back to you? what's your email address? huh?

    Really disappointed...

Interesting. Logical move. Having been involved in setting up and running offshore facilities several times, I can say that there will be start-up issues, training difficulties, language barriers (translation issues) and cultural situations. However, the rewards can be significant if the hazards are successfully negotiated. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
