PCGS President Don Willis announced at the PCGS Collectors Club luncheon at FUN that grading services will begin soon in Asia! Here's a link to the announcement:

    The idea is a no brainer. The hard part is making it work (mgmt, investment, training, etc).

    Have to wonder if opening a office there will give them some legal recourse against the counterfeiters there.

    This might give the counterfeiters better access to good coins in order to improve their craft.

    I really hope the service out of PCGS Hong Kong is better than ATS. Tried calling ATS's HK office to ask a question - huh? what? sorry? pls email and we'll get back to you? what's your email address? huh?

    Interesting. Logical move. Having been involved in setting up and running offshore facilities several times, I can say that there will be start-up issues, training difficulties, language barriers (translation issues) and cultural situations. However, the rewards can be significant if the hazards are successfully negotiated. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
