My box of 3 went out to PCGS Monday by Express, with guaranteed delivery by 3 pm yesterday. Oops, it didn't get there til this morning, called the PO and I'll go in tomorrow to get my $84 + back for the failure.

I sent mine express as well but what I did was removed the small bar code tracking labels from the US Mint box and then put the PCGS Submission form along with my check into a 10 x 13 envelope which was then taped to the top of the original box. The Express label then was pasted to the envelope which covered the original US Mint shipping label.
I considered going with an Express Submission at $50 per coin but that got expensive fairly quickly. 20 * $50 was $1,000 and with First Strike on top of that, it was just too much to commit to at this point in time. If my brother had gotten his order in earlier instead of ending up on the "waiting" list, I'd have gone the Express Grading route. But that didn't happen.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

My box of 5 left Georgia today for an express trip to sunny Califormia. I am certainly not expecting lots of 70's though, as I could hear a "rattler" in the box. Just hoping the rest of the coins stay in their capsules. BTW .. I too paid for the First Strike on every coin, probably an unwise move, but hey.... thats how I earned my screen name.

I'd guess that you won't see too many shared orders in connection with the 25th anniversary sets, especially the bulk submissions from dealers. Perhaps they want to hide how easy it is to get a 70 grade so they can still buy sealed boxes cheap? Or maybe if they get lots of grades lower than 69 they don't want you to see that either... where do you think some of the dealers are getting the sets in OGP to sell??? I'm guessing they are all pre-screened coins that didn't make the cut and/or coins they got back 68 or lower, then cracked and put them back in OGP...

Well, I learned this morning that my final order for a single set was cancelled. Right on the cusp (3 minutes) of the first single order, which followed an order of 3...
My original plan was to sell the two singles as unopened, and send the remaining Bo3 to PCGS. But due to having lost the last single set order, my hope to retain 3 sets for myself is now down to two.
Will PCGS take a Bo3, grade two sets, and return one raw, if requested? In this instance, I'd probably sell both graded sets, keep one opened and raw, and the other single as unopened for whatever the future may hold for it.
Considering the prices even a 69 set would command, it's probably worth it to just have all 3 sets graded and sell one of those...
Not experienced enough with grading to feel confident in my assumptions here, and of course, there's no telling where these will go in a year's time (or longer)...

I sent in my box of three but I did so thinking I would be one of the first to get these back before alot of others, that is gonna make the difference in the short term. Never have gotten a 70 with all the moderns I have submitted so I figured being blind sent in I might do better. Its going to be interesting to see the first grades posted from a normal collector and not the dealer. I think 1 70 in the right coin could pay off the rest. If your going to sell 2 sets graded you might as well let them grade all three and hope for a set of 69's and maybe a couple 70's . Than if you sell all those the set you have sealed is still good either to keep or grade or sell in the future. Really do you have 500.00 to take the chance? Enjoy Edited to add 30 dollars if you want the ogh back .......
Mine just posted, too. 6 out of 25 coins graded 70: 2 Rev Proof, 2 Burnished W, 1 S, 1 PR. The rest were all 69s except for a lone PR67. Missed a 70 set by just the bullion coin...

Looks like you missed a complete set of 70's by 2 coins? Thanks for sharing. Bob

<< <i>How many here are super-sizing, er I mean getting fries with that; I mean getting Tru-View with their order/s? >>
no photos for me. i did go for the "special" labels though.
Are they the labels with a bald eagle on the left and "25th Anniversary Set" in white text in a black bar across the top of the slab?
If so, was there a minimum number of coins requirement or an extra charge? Thank you, Bob

<< <i>Mine just posted, too. 6 out of 25 coins graded 70: 2 Rev Proof, 2 Burnished W, 1 S, 1 PR. The rest were all 69s except for a lone PR67. Missed a 70 set by just the bullion coin... >>
Did you submit using modern grading or express grading?

Modern. They arrived at PCGS last Monday and were entered into the system on Tuesday. I wasn't expecting such a quick turnaround...

The best so far. 9 out of 25 (36%). It looks like the no mint mark eagle is going to be the hardest to get a 70 from a box of five. Congrats to you!!
<< <i>Well, I learned this morning that my final order for a single set was cancelled.
What say you?
Here is a 69 set that just sold for $ 911

Not a lot of profit vs selling the the sealed set
