Been away for a 'bit. Dunno if this imperfection was corrected ?

    I don't think that anything has been corrected but I have hundreds of these coins and have no milk spots on mine.

    I think it is the dry air here in NM that does the trick.

    Of course I could be wrong.

    ...i don't know, david. i see collectors saying the spots occurred after slabbing and i see reports of coins from

    the mint had spotting develop and other issues blamed such as storage. it's anyone's guess right now. image

    I have not seen a published solution either from the mint or the public at large. No doubt, once they have developed, they remain. The only preventive measure I have seen discussed (and have not seen any reports that it did not work) is Russ's input that an acetone dip, upon receipt, prevents their development. I have no milk spots. Cheers, RickO

    Sadly that is true. I have a 2006 20th anniv reverse proof with spots and nobody wants it. It likely is just bullion.

    My PR70 Boy Scout Silver Dollar Commem developed a spot just a few months after buying it off ebay. Definitely dissapointing but I didn't pay a ton for it so I'm just annoyed, not peeved.
