Please remember I haven't heard back from Steve but am assuming he is going to give us the 10% discount. Also, if I missed anyone that already has reserved spots, please let me know.
I don't know about the rest of you but my adrenaline is boiling over at this point. I have to get up on 6 hours and can't go to sleep.
My best stuff from 4 packs of 77 OPC and a couple each of the 82 and 83 Cellos. The Fisk Cello I'm keeping sealed. It's the tightest cellos I've ever picked up. Couple real nice OPC Commons and the Jenkins should be a solid 9.
"The Sipe market is ridiculous right now" CDsNuts, 1/9/15
The more I look at it, the Jenkins is about as perfect as 77's come. I have over 300 graded 77's and that is probably the nicest one I have. The back centering is as nice as the front!
"The Sipe market is ridiculous right now" CDsNuts, 1/9/15
My first '77 pack had a Schmidt & Jim Rice, both in super condition. Not so much luck with the others I've opened. I also got some '75 Topps Mini cellos. Only opened one but it had a Carlton & Munson.
Wow Tsalems, those look really great! Think you've got some 10's in there? I wish the Fidrych was a little better centered, as it could bring some nice coin. Great rip.
Yes, I do have some 10's for sure. None of these are miscut on the back. Fidrych is a little off but I think it will 9 which still brings $60-$75 and I need it for my registry set as a 9
I got my stuff from the rip yesterday. The conumdrum I have is whether or not to take the seal off of the 78 OPC box. I would love to see if there is any star power showing on the packs, but the seal and sticker from BBCE (I think) basically authenticates the box and its contents. DOH!
<< <i>Tsalem's Ken Forsch card looks like he's wearing an Astros Nascar uniform/firesuit. He just needs a few patches on there and he's ready to drive! >>
Alright, I've ripped everything except 2 packs of '75 minis. The '77 OPC were a bust after the first pack. Same with the '80 and '83 packs. I had two packs of '76 and the first was a dud. The second one however, yielded this gem. Sorry about the godawful pic, but look at that centering! Corners are flawless too and the back is at least 60/40, I'd think.
It's hard to tell just by looking at a scan, but that Ryan looks to have a genuine shot at a 10...perfect centering sharp corners and no snow in dark background that I can see from the scan. That's one heck of a pull, maybe the best I've seen from all the group rips.

I'm optimistically thinking 10 too. Again, sorry about the horrible cell phone pic, I pulled it on my lunch break. But it's a looker...
I will also say, Steve's football 70's stuff has really looked great. The 76's and 77's have been in really amazing shape. I opened a few, that's where I landed the Lambert PSA 9.
Now that Ryan, well I hope you get the grade. Could be a monster card. Good Luck!

I finally made it through examining all of my '78 OPCs and I'm subbing (44) of them, along with my Ryan/Murray pack. The wait will be excruciating, especially on that pack.
I do wish there was a bit more rippin' and scannin', rippin' and scannin' on here, but it is what it is.
howdy, i got 3 '77 football. opened one tonight. Got one super sharp 2nd year Lambert, but very OC. most of the pack was actually. corners were great though. i'll get up some scans if i can.
I paid on Friday, Oct. 7 at 4:57 p.m. but don't have my package yet. Thought for sure it'd be here today. Received a message from a "Mike" at BBCE on Monday that said "will ship out to you".
I opened my 78 OPC box and was very pleased indeed! Packs in the box with stars showing either on front or back, included Ryan, Rose, Schmidt, Bench, Winfield, Morgan, to name a few. Also opened a few packs and pulled a very nice Murray RC which I will scan later. In the ripping mood last night, I opened a few 75 mini wax packs from my collection and pulled a Brett, two Younts, two Aaron #1 cards, Ryan #500 and a bunch of other mint cards.

LOL, you may be right! I opened 15 packs out of a partial box I had. Centering is a bit tough on some but each packs had the same sequence of 4-5 OC cards followed by a couple really nicely centered cards, a really poorly registered red-yellow "shorty" card and then a couple nicely centered cards. The mini set is probably the most challenging but exciting set to put together at least for me, as 75 is my favorite year.

Wow, you guys are on fire! I just keep getting it in and putting it in my unopened box. Have quite the bidding 70's unopened packs/cellos emerging. Can't wait to hear what the Ryan that Jarrod pulled grades. It's a beauty.
I finally gotten around to scanning my packs. The wife is out with the girls, the kids are at Grandma's and I have the house to myself.
I didn't open anything and was pleased with my stuff even though there wasn't any star power showing to speak of. First up is one pack of 76 Topps BB. This gives me 2 now and 34 more to fill my box.
Next up is (2) each of 79, 82 and 83 cellos. Charlie Hough and Fred Lynn were the big stars.
Next is (2) packs of 77 Topps FB. I tried to see who was on the back but it didn't look like anyone of importance.
And finally, I treated myself to a 77 FB rack. I now have 2 wax packs, 1 cello and 1 rack. No star power but you just have to love racks.
Here are some scans from my pulls this weekend, which consisted of a few 78 OPC wax, 15 75 mini wax and a 75 rack pack:
