Just took another look at why this lame post got so much more attention. Haha totally funny (and sad in a way)

Wannabe..... I knew what type of pseudoBling clown he was just seeing the name "Bullmarket88" I hope 88 is not the year he was born? a 22 year old wannabe is not that rare though, and less sad than if he were 39....

Love the link to the replicar scam.... I read most of it. Why would anyone want a replicar?? its a fake and once everyone (your neighbors, GF/BF, Boss, etc.) finds out, its not impressive at all and IMO really something to snicker at. I might drive it once but I wouldnt want it in my garage. Id much rather have a classic Porsche 356 or something REAL like that for that $$.

Oh well..... if this wannabe ever put the V117's up on eBay Id love to have a shot at the Johnson, but dont even think Id bid, ...well unless he included a scan of his drivers license of course image

One of the best threads for entertainment Ive seen here on PSA... image

PS hey Shooty B. .... remember when I threw batting practice to you back in '85 at Laney College in Oaktown?? Nice detective work on the replicar scam BTW image
  • Anybody that thinks I'm gonna let this thread slowly fade away obviously doesn't know me very well.

    oh yeah...

Guy seems weird IMO but what is the use in getting all screwy about it?

Saying, "Anybody that thinks I'm gonna let this thread slowly fade away obviously doesn't know me very well. "

    and

"Does anybody mind if I bump this thread 4 times a day for the next year?"

    is not the answer.

What else can be accomplished? The guy made a deal and backed out. Maybe that's his hobby...screwing with people. I know some people who get a personal high doing this exact thing.

Best to just let it go and in the future not count on the goods/money until it is in your hand.

I believe you are confusing the word "deal" with the word "transaction".

deal- n. a bargain or arrangement for mutual advantage
transaction- n. an exchange or transfer of goods, services, or funds

The arrangement (read: deal) was made in the emails I posted. The transaction was never completed. There was an offer and acceptance on both sides, making it a legally binding contract. Semantics aside, it's laughable if you think it's ok for people to back out of agreements they make.
  • CDsNutsCDsNuts Posts: 10,092
And for what it's worth, it's not every day that you get screwed over on ebay and get the chance to expose the guy who did it in a public forum because he willingly became a member. Am I getting enjoyment out of publicly exposing what a complete pile of dog crap this guy is? Absolutely. But at the same time I'm cautioning anyone else in this forum who might consider 'dealing' with this waste of human life.

Tell you what- you have a guy string you along for a month then drop out of a 5k deal for no reason and see you feel about it.

    Take it however you want.

Things happen and people back out of things.

Maybe something happened to the guy and he couldn't respond. By the time he was able to get online CD had made the deal "null and void."

My gut tells me that wasn't the case...but I'm just saying, we don't know.

And it is not right to publicly humiliate and defame a person. But hey, it is not a perfect world.

Unless you're dead, a month is plenty of time. And we know this guy isn't dead. Stop playing devil's advocate with your gut. It's making you look simple.

Can't believe you're defending this guy, Pat. Extenuating circumstances aside, he had PLENTY of time to fulfill on his commitment, and he DID NOT. End of story.

How hard is it to communicate whether you can or cannot complete a deal? A simple:

    Hello Mr. Nuts,

While I appreciate you holding the proposed deal, unfortunately, circumstances have arisen such that I will not be able to complete the transaction. Please aceept my apologies and feel free to market the cards to others. Thank you for your consideration.

It's not a case of devil's advocate, I'm just saying - things do happen.

CD came here and shared his experience. Good job CD.

But why bash, and bash, and bash? Especially when CD backed out of the deal.

So, yeah, when a community begins defaming somebody it leaves me siding with the victim.

BTW - if this was an off eBay deal, where are the "ethics police"?

    Nevermind I figured it out.

CD didn't back out on the deal.....

The deal had an arranged transaction and a date of payment.... after the date of payment was not made... CD gave him extra time to fulfill his obligation.... he didn't fulfill his obligation, so CD was smart enough to say this is stupid and move on...

Read the emails, there is an agreed payment day

Why the hell support a deadbeat purchaser... this guy is bad news

Not that I really need to defend myself here, but the jackass in question continued buying steadily through July, August, September, October and November (check his feedback- id: 4re88). Obviously whatever personal crisis he was going through only prohibited him from buying from me, not anyone else. Why you would assume he had a personal crisis is beyond me. Then again, why you continue to say stupid things for no apparent reason than to get a rise out of people is beyond me as well. It's no wonder you are one of the whipping boys of this forum (although I can't remember ever once saying anything derogatory to or about you before this thread).

I'd rather assume the person had a personal crises than to come to a public board and bash the heck out of him.

You said what you had to say, good for you, but to bump the thread and continue to call him names isn't quite right.

I'm not trying to get a rise out of anybody and what I say is not "stupid."

I am sorry this happened to you, really I am. Approximately $5,000 is a lot of money.

If there is one thing I've learned in my lifetime experience in business it is that you pretty much can't count on a deal, or transaction, whatever, being complete until you have the goods and/or the money in hand.

You also said that he made purchases during the email exchanges.

If you're right then it is safe to say he shafted you on this.

I don't remember reading anything in your previous posts about his purchasing history during this time.
