  • I actually just got off the phone with him (was interested in a pair of GU/AU jordan shows he had)

He told me he ended up backing out of the deal because he found an entire set for the same price. He said he felt bad but dropped all contact.

That is all I have to say.

    At least he felt bad.

I take back what I said about him. He's clearly a stand-up guy and everybody should deal with him.

  • Hi

    Just to answer some questions:
      - Lee is right...I backed out of the deal...not him. I feel horrible about this and it was completely my fault. I do apologize and should have contacted you to discuss cancelling the deal rather than just walking away. I am sorry.
        - "88" in my nickname is just in there as it's my favorite number.
          - yes, the cars are replica's. Just a personal hobby of mine...nothing more. Can't afford the "real thing" and found the replica's to be a lot of fun.
            - someone questioned my "90's inserts"...the 90's are when I collected with my father but were of course the worst years to collect. I just started about a year or so ago collecting just the 90's inserts. I'm having a lot of fun doing so as I find it "too much" to keep up with all the new stuff.
              - not much I can say about my collection. It is what it is. Some pieces are nice and others not so nice. I've done the best I can with it and have had fun doing so.
                - someone mentioned feedback about a "fake" jordan card...yes...I feel I got ripped off buying a Jordan RC that was advertised as REAL and I believed it to be fake. I didn't have the time to chase him so chalked it up as a loss...that's it.
                  - as for ending my ebay auction...I was advised by a number of people that I should piece the collection out and that I'm crazy to try and sell it as a "lot". That's the reason it was ended.
                    - yes, I have one of my Ferrari Replica's on ebay right now... my wife and I could use the money. Not worth millions but it is a lot of fun. Some people think they're horrible and I respect that. I just have them as they truly are a lot of fun.

Sorry for all the trouble I've caused. I didn't come on the forum to cause a fuss...just came on the forum to be apart of a collecting forum...this is new to me.

This guy is no longer a registered user and put me through hell. I tried to sell him my car but he cancelled numerous times on coming to pick the car up so I ended up selling to someone else.

Huge load of crap. Thanks for wasting my time.
                  • Why can't we accept an apology and move on.
                  • Like I understand that he was contacting you and it was hopeful, but I've literally had people on craigslist call me to meet somewhere and not show up.

                  • I agree with your statements Lee.
Just like the guy in my negative feedback I called him a "huge time waster".
Again...all I can say is I'm sorry...I handled it in the wrong way and do apologize for wasting your time
                  • I will also take it upon myself to cancel my membership to this site.
I don't want to cause problems and if I'm not welcome than I can accept that.

I only joined this site to be a little more involved in the hobby world as opposed to collecting by myself.

I hope I've answered the questions/concerns you guys may have had.

                    I again apologize to Lee.
                  • Excellent point.... could have been a lot worse.

CdsNuts is not only right but very funny. I found this thread very amusing and sickening all at the same time. Be glad that the transaction did not go through as you might have had furthur issues with this guy.

Mullins ??????? WTF are you thinking? Why don't you do business with him and see how it pans out?

I'm on Lee's side, of course. Mullins, by thinking Lee is the one that backed out of the deal, it seems that you not only think dropping communication, rather than saying there's no longer interest in the cards, is a fair practice. If so, I'll buy your Mike Bossy collection, or whatever it is you overpaid for and are stuck with....

Lee- did you end up sending in a lot of the '93s to PSA? How'd they do?

CD kept bumping this thread in order to bash the guy.

He also technically is the one who backed out.

Should CD be upset with the guy? Sure. Should he bump a thread multiple times and bash the guy? I don't think so.

I subbed 11 cards (mostly stars like Ripken, Sandberg, Piazza, etc...) and they mostly came back 9s with two 8s. Mildly disappointing there as I thought there were some strong 10 possibilities. After that I did a set break on ebay and listed every card individually. When all was said and done I lost about $200 vs. the original deal I had with bullmarket88, some of it due to grading fees.

No, you don't think so. But it's okay for you to post multiple times in CD's thread about the $2500 item with the sole intent to stir up trouble. Lovely.

Are there live animals available for sale in your father's store, or does he strictly sell pet supplies only?
