Here is the latest information that I have put together on the WDDR-006 error. As far as I can tell they are only being found in the boxes dated 4/23 and the time is very important, I have checked boxes at the 07:00 and 13:14 times and found nothing. but the times from about 9:27 up to 12:33 have all produced at least 4 of the WDDR-006 per roll, some as much as 8 per roll. I have given up bidding on these times as the prices have risen above $60 per box, The last one tonight sold for $66.00. If you bid on boxes in that time frame, you should find some errors.

I have 2 boxes left from this time. How easy are the errors to spot?
These errors can be spotted fairly easy if you have a 10x loupe. In my experience that is the only error you will find in these rolls, but I could be proven wrong in that respect. You will find the extra long finger laying right along the spine of the book between the thumb and index finger.
<< <i>I'm trying to find the errors after DDR 14, I'm thinking they maybe in the late May boxes? Any thoughts? >>
I'm more thinking these are coming out of both the later dated mint boxes and the bank rolls. The ones coming from the bank rolls have been more minor for the most part but I do believe ther is one in the bank rolls that has been found with the spine of the book being doubled and not the fingers which is pretty cool looking.
Hi......I've kept the boxes which I found the skeleton fngers. I don't have the exact count of skeleton fingers found in each of the 5 boxes.....but I did find some in each of the 5 rolls I had. 24 in 4 rolls, plus one roll has a skeleton on the end which I didn't open yet......
All boxes dated 4/23 here is the box the code and the times:
9883.....07:24 9883.....07:24
9774.....09:58 9774.....09:58 9774.....09:58
Total 24 from FOUR rolls in hand..... plus one roll unopened w/Skeleton error showing. It does seem to be a pretty narrow window......accidentally I'm sure.
<< <i>Unlike most of the long die cracks that look like a lighting bolt from the rim in front of Lincoln's body on the reverse, these both (I have three total now) start from the
rim through the letter "o" in "of" and split lincoln's head in two down to his chin. Has anyone elso found these? >>
I have found a single example of that particular die crack... pretty cool running down his face like that!

Maybe something like this? I've found 3 also, and they are easily my favorite die crack on ANY coin.......
I have some early boxes of LP2. Any recommendation on what magnifying glass (10x, 20x etc) do I need to search for the DDR? Appreciate any recommendation. -CMAN
<< <i>I have looked at 5 4/23 boxes and found nothing >>
And I have looked at a lot of the 'loaded' boxes you have mentioned in the recent past, and found........NOTHING. It's just a crap shoot, like the wisconsin extra leaves were. some wis rolls had 5 to 9 errors, most had none.
These are much more interesting to look at than the Wis. It seems each lincoln has some kind of goofy thing going on with it.
Inconsistent is how I would describe the stamping results from the P mint lincoln cents.
<< <i>I've found them in the date/time that are for sale in that link. But why spend $100 on one box. There was a lot of 25 of these that just sold for $105, $4.20 each. There's many other listings for $10. >>
It's as though the lincoln errors have gone into freefall along w/the boxed 2 roll sets the past 10 days. What's up with that?

I do not think there presently is not a market for these with the coin collecting public. After I saw a couple of MS 65 DDO/DDR 006's sell for less that the cost of grading I held my last submission to ANACS.
I have 46 graded on their way back to me right now and that will be it for me until I see some value in grading these.
No big ads in Coin World...no demand other than the small group on this thread
Put a WDDR-001 MS 67 out there as a .99 start auction to really see what the public is willing to pay. I would guess $50-60
Even the probably very low mintage PF DDR sells for less than $500??? The public has moved on....
I too have not sent any more in for grading at this point . I have not had much action on my MS67's even though they are the top pop. We will just have to wait it out and see what happens. I will get my 2 proof DDR's back on Friday as they have shipped. I will know the grades on them today.

but none. I've gotten consistent 005 and 008's and I hit big on one roll from 4/29 : oo1's, 2's, 3's, and 4's, but still in search of the elusive
006.....

You can get them on ebay for $12-$18, but it is more fun searching for them.

Successful Trades: Swampboy,
Please update me if I'm wrong .....I'm anxiously awaiting five 4/29 boxes to arrive at my door....this was my personal strongest date for
these errors and I think I got a great deal....$20 per box with free shipping. We'll know soon enough if it was a good deal or not.
Prices on Ebay seem to be going up a bit for the raw coins, especially the wddr-001, 2, and of course the ever elusive 006.
No one has indicated which date boxes are producing the wddr-006/cddr-009's other than 4/23. If there is another key date to search
I would hope that someone would generously post it.....btw, as stated earlier in this thread, I searched 3 boxes of 4/23 without finding
any

what's the best site to view the entire list of these errors?

Anacs is currently the only top TPG designating the varieties on the slab.... and there are two good online sources:
Billy Crawford's Die Variety Magazine which comes in multiple downloadable pdf's
John Wexler's Double Die page - refresh daily as he continues to add more finds
WDDR-001, 002, 006, 013 (only because of the massive crack), 014, 016, 028, 043, 050, 051.
Anyone else?

was one of the 004's has a long die crack on the obverse, parallel to the rim, that starts at about 10 o'clock and runs through the words "in
God". I had never seen this before in all of my prior searches so it was exciting to see. I know you all want pics, but I don't have the
photo equipment to show it properly. I also got two (what I call) "crackhead Lincolns" out of the 4/24 box. Unlike most of the long die
cracks that look like a lighting bolt from the rim in front of Lincoln's body on the reverse, these both (I have three total now) start from the
rim through the letter "o" in "of" and split lincoln's head in two down to his chin. Has anyone elso found these? I haven't seen them on
Ebay or posted here or on Wexler's site. If they are a new discovery, should I send them in for attribution or are they just considered die
cracks with no variety attribution? Well...that's my report for tonight

Now they say there is an double die error in the Guam quarters. WoW !!
These people are IDIOTS !
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
well, happy hunting. I hope you end up with a bunch of them.

I am still the only one who has MS67's on ebay.
They are the top pop and are going to be a good coin. When that listing runs out, I will take them off the market and hold on to them for sure.

10 asst other errors
Not a bad box.

I'd like to think that's it's just the summertime slowdown, people on vacation etc.
Some media coverage would be nice, like USA Today; our most beloved President with a mutant hand; disgraceful.
And some price guide recognition; maybe next years Cherrypicker?
We sure need something to get these off of dead center.
<< <i>It's as though the lincoln errors have gone into freefall along w/the boxed 2 roll sets the past 10 days. What's up with that? >>
Actually prime date boxes are selling fairly well in the last week
4/28 $46
4/29 $45
4/30 $39
4/23 from $49 up tp $70.65
4/16 & 4/17 around $25
Again, I think it's a summertime market blip.
I feel that everyone is buying up what is left of the good datwes and just waiting. I know I am.

Who wants to submit that to the news? Any retiree's have time to do that??
Between the two, there were 16 CDDR-001 and 18 CDDR-002....
Bought each box from eBay at ~$32~
