Very sorry to hear that you were the victim of this crime, and sincerely hope you recover all of the stolen coins. I'm sure this thread will be a wake-up call for many of us to review our security and insurance!
Dunno how it works in your state, but here in Michigan theres no paperwork for coins brought from the public that goes to the local police except by a pawn broker. Coin dealers dont have to, BUT the one place you want to check is all of the local Gold buying outfits, especially the little check cashing shops that also buy gold. Many many times when folks have coins stolen in my area the coins dont show up at my coin shop or any of the others. It almost invariably ends up in one of the seedy check cashing places. Try dropping a list and a promise of a reward if found at some of these places. Sometimes results in a phone call. Sucks to pay ransom for your own coins back but worked for me last year when an employee got robbed. I apologize if this has already been broached, but Dont have time to read all the pages etc. Just an idea. Also see if someone can pm people on CCE/coinnet as thats much easier than spending 10 hrs on the phone.
Ouch, that sucks! I'm in Texas so I probably won't be seeing any of them, but I sure hope you are able to recover some of them. Karma usually has a way of balancing things out, and it's going to come back and bite the ass of whoever stole those from you. Best of luck.
