Even though most here dog them and laugh at how they are in the shat can, I still love them and have fun with them. Hell, most of you guys convinced me to jump ship and sell because I have less than MS67 coins. Glad I have not. IMO there isnt a better set to collect....no matter the grade.
I just had to get that off my chest.
Here ya go. I want to see your best and here form the lovers and the haters!

My Collection...
You not only do you get a ton of history in each piece, you get a wide variety of beautiful designs. Some more so than others. Also, since they are often over looked, they are not a bad buy from price wise.
Here's one of mine from Gettysboig...
<< <i>I remain a huge fan.
That might be a York with the best eye appeal I have ever seen!! WOW!!!
Great set to collect because it's (relatively) affordable in 63-64, except for a few.
And of course some are cheap even in 65+.
Some from my collection.....the BTW will look familiar to you, of course.
Only second to Mrs. Barber
Many more but wouldn't want to gross anyone out.
No naysayers yet?
Killer Grant! That one is ultra tough to find that pretty.
==Looking for pre WW2 Commems in PCGS Rattler holders, 1851-O Three Cent Silvers in all grades

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

come on.... LOTTO !!!
Good work to all on their collections...
Chicolini: Mint? No, no, I no like a mint. Uh - what other flavor you got?
I have a constant pull on my stomach - from coin-years of past - of all the 2009 Lincoln discussions. Here we have low-mintage, created for a specific reason commem, beautiful luster and colors, an actual history of the coin with sub 20,000 mintages graded at MS 66/67s....and the 2009 Lincoln gets the love of so many.
It's just a personal issue (of which I have many!!!!!), but commemoratives are just beautiful numismatic items compared to the modern coins being produced........

Well put! My feelings exactly.

This one could almost be mistaken for an image of miss liberty with a huge tumor on the side of her head!

Even thought there are a half dozen dogs, I love the variety. After a few half hearted attempts in the 70's and 80's I am finally working seriously on a toned 50 piece collection, even to the point of sacrificing some of my other collecting interests. Happy to add this to the other grerat pieces!!!
The Pilgrim's tone is out of this world.............
Great thread.
The Bay Bridge is sweet. The California miner panning for gold has to be one of my favorites.

<< <i>I also like the early Commems but will probably never have a complete type set. So I set two goals that I've met, half the set ( have 30 halves ) and all 8 associated with the New England states. >>
Trust an old jarhead to figure out a way...
<< <i>Did I happen to mention I remain a Huge Fan!

what did you say?
<< <i>I guess a brilliant white coin would ruin this technicolor thread? >>
No you didunt!
I see this Vermonts twin up here!!
W/ thanks to CJ!
and checking the sheet from a few months ago, it seems to confirm that.
