It warms my heart to see so many openly offer prayer and acknowledge God.
I feel very badly if not confused for Tim's son. If he survives, reality is going to be an awful thing to live with.
I shall however, continue to pray for ALL involved, that God somehow mends everyones' wounds, physical and psychological and somehow manages to bring Good out of what appears to be a disaster, as only He can.
This is going to be very difficult and best left to God.
Wow, I don't know that I can add anything except what has already been expressed. Sorry to hear this, and you and those involved will be in our thoughts and prayers. It has been a tough year for your TexasT, try to keep you hopes and head up.
God please take care of this kid we are talking about. He is your son, and also someone else's son, he is someone's family member or friend of many. Your healing powers are the greatest thing this boy needs right now. I don't know what might become of this boy, but please heal him all of his closest family and give him comfort and love that you do for us daily. He needs you more than ever oh might God. I asked of you not for my needs but for this boy and others in this world that are suffering right now.
God Bless these people all mighty God and thanks for all that you do. A/Men
I am really worried about TexasT. A person can only take so much.
Just recently he's lost his father. His step-father had a stroke & may well have passed away too.
Now his son lay clinging to life by the thinnest of threads and his daughter's fiance is now dead too. He logged on a couple hours ago & logged right back off.
Next time I hear from him I'll see if he has a cell number. Man, this is gut-wrenching!
Edited out the part about calling as I'm sure that when the phone rings it understandably causes alarm.
I want to thank everyone for there thoughts and prayers, it's been a tough day all around. Edward, pictured in my icon is holding on, the doctors have a series of test and proceedures lined up for the morning.
I appreciate that the hospital is thoughtful enough to have a computer and internet access available to the familly's in the Critical Care waiting area as it allows myself and others to be able to reach out.
The people here on the board have been great in their support when he was in Iraq, now he is really fighting the battle of his life.
I will update as I can and know more.
Also thanks to Boom for posting this information, extra prayer cant hurt right now. Also thanks to Glenn, BBQ & Blues for calling to check on us.
Tim
For those that have requested the information Edward is in the Trama Intensive Care Unit Room D-431 at the Med in Memphis Tennessee

dealing with such grief can be hard...my fiancee took her life some 5 years ago and i tried to revive her to no avail...times were tough on teddy
times you'll just need to be alone...period...other times you just got to let others in too
just incase the position arrives i wanted to pass this to ya
my dad was in a coma for 17 days my thoughts were upon his awaking was "i just knew" he so wanted to communicate but couldn't with all the tubes and such an idea crossed my mind i wrote the alphabet on a piece of paper and told him to blink when i was at a letter he needed to write thus he finally was relieved as he could communicate at last
hang tough and know your experience can save others who "merely" think times are tough

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: One belonged to him and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You, You'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed You most You would leave me.
The Lord replied, my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you see one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
Just an update, Edward is awake and at this time is able to move all his extremities, he is aware of his surroundings and is able to indicate he understands and recognizes his family members, he is able to follow commands from the Doctors and Nurses.
He will be undergoing surgery this afternoon to have a steel rod placed in his arm to repair the displaced fracture and hopefully will be able to come off the ventelator this evening.
We still do not know anymore about the brain bleed but are hopefull that it has stopped and will not endanger him. His condition remains critical at this time.
I do believe that the power of prayer has been working.
My Daughter is still in shock over the tragic events, it's hard not to be with her right now yet I know she is being looked after.
I want to thank everyone for there kind words and prayers.

Wonderful news, Tim. Any improvements are of major importance. Though you mention your daughter is being cared for, it is not too soon to get her in to visit with a therapist. Keeping up the prayer...
Markets (governments) can remain irrational longer than an investor can remain solvent.
I'm also in Memphis so if I can do anything for you or the family it would be an honor and blessing. We will continue to pray for your son. PM me if I can help.
On behalf of TexasT I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers for all involved.
I would also like to say thank you to PCGS for allowing us all to pray collectively for this most worthy cause.
I even wish to thank fellow members, that for whatever reason choose not to believe in God or Prayer, for refraining from posting anything harsh or otherwise hurtful under such very sad conditions.

Let us know- I'm sure that someone from the boards is close by.
He looks like one heck of a fighter to me.
