Couldn't wait for my 4 boxes to arrive Monday so I picked up some packs at Newbury Comics this afternoon. They were priced at 3.49 a pack but she gave me 10% off

    Glad I couldn't wait

I grabbed a blaster of this over the weekend. pulled a longoria and Fdome card. This product looks stacked but I still dont like the "high numbers" idea. Its like Topps is forcing me to try to finish a set.
  • Nick, Thank you for listing the odds. I remember a couple of years back there was not much difference between retail vs. hobby. Last year and this year, to me, it just does not make sense to buy retail because of the odds. Can anyone tell me why buying retail over hobby is a good thing?

    Need Topps Heritage High Numbers????

  • Has anyone compiled a checklist for the Ad Panels? I assume, as with the regular issue, there are 88 different panels divided into 11 groups of 8. Here is what I have been able to figure out thus far:

    GROUP 1
BRIAN WILSON - KERRY WOOD - KOSUKE F'DOME
GEOVANY SOTO - BRIAN WILSON - KERRY WOOD
JUSTIN DUCHSCHERER - GEOVANY SOTO - BRIAN WILSON
EDINSON VOLQUEZ - JUSTIN DUCHSCHERER - GEOVANY SOTO
RYAN DEMPSTER - EDINSON VOLQUEZ - JUSTIN DUCHSCHERER
MIKE MUSSINA - RYAN DEMPSTER - EDINSON VOLQUEZ
CLIFF LEE - MIKE MUSSINA - RYAN DEMPSTER
JOE SAUNDERS - CLIFF LEE - MIKE MUSSINA

    GROUP 2
MANNY PARRA - TIM REDDING - PAUL MAHOLM
SCOTT OLSEN - MANNY PARRA - TIM REDDING
NICK BLACKBURN - SCOTT OLSEN - MANNY PARRA
MIKE PELFREY - NICK BLACKBURN - SCOTT OLSEN
RYAN SWEENEY - MIKE PELFREY - NICK BLACKBURN
DANA EVELAND - RYAN SWEENEY - MIKE PELFREY
GREG SMITH - DANA EVELAND - RYAN SWEENEY
HIROKI KURODA - GREG SMITH - DANA EVELAND

    GROUP 3
JOEL PINEIRO - CHRIS DAVIS - MASAHIDE KOBAYASHI
GREG DOBBS - JOEL PINEIRO - CHRIS DAVIS
BRANDON LYON - GREG DOBBS - JOEL PINEIRO
JERRY HAIRSTON - BRANDON LYON - GREG DOBBS
ALEXI CASILLA - JERRY HAIRSTON - BRANDON LYON
CODY ROSS - ALEXI CASILLA - JERRY HAIRSTON
JO-JO REYES - CODY ROSS - ALEXI CASILLA
DAMION EASLEY - JO-JO REYES - CODY ROSS

    GROUP 4 (Missing 1)
ANDY SONNANSTINE - JESSE LITSCH - TODD WELLEMEYER
JOHNNY CUETO - ANDY SONNANSTINE - JESSE LITSCH
VICENTE PADILLA - JOHNNY CUETO - ANDY SONNANSTINE
GLEN PERKINS - VICENTE PADILLA - JOHNNY CUETO
BRIAN BURRES - GLEN PERKINS - VICENTE PADILLA
JAMEY WRIGHT - BRIAN BURRES - GLEN PERKINS
CHASE HEADLEY - JAMEY WRIGHT - BRIAN BURRES

Sorry if those are difficult to read; I cut and paste from an Excel spreadsheet rather than retype them. I have several other runs of 3, 4 and 5, but haven't figured out how they fit together. I really wish Topps would have numbered them, or at least released a checklist. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  • Just pulled a sweet DUAL AUTOGRAPH card! Well, it would be sweet if it wasn't a redemption card. Nonetheless, I pulled a dual autograph card of Al Kaline and Curtis Granderson. I have seen a few Kaline/Granderson game used cards but I have yet to see a dual auto card. I am not sure how many of these are out there (25?) but I have searched EBay and have yet to see one. It is available for trade but as most of you here know I only trade for vintage cards that I need for my sets in EX or better condition. My want lists are listed here:

    Let me know if interested!

Just got a smoking deal on an Al Kaline red auto on ebay $40.99

Seller made two errors, crappy scan of the redemption card so you could hardly see the "Special Edition" on it and didn't mention the red or special edition in the title or listing

Been waiting all night for this one to end

    last one went for $228

Good eye to spot that special edition line. Figures that a car guy would be reading all the fine print.

I've never got a steal on ebay before

    very nice pickup!

As far as the fine print goes, it's not all that hard to see if one clicks the main picture and sees the larger-sized scan. Looks like the other potential bidders were lazy.

I didn't even notice the larger picture option until hours after I first saw it

I wonder if they are already filling this because the other one that sold was the actual card, not the redemption

I am searching for a Duchscherer high # Heritage refractor and have listed all of the dupes that I have to trade.

All my dupes are well centered (at least 60/40 or better all around) and I'd be interested in a similarly centered card.

    My Want List:
    206 Duchscherer

    My Dupes List:
    201 Saunders
    221 Kuroda
    222 G. Smith
    225 Pelfrey
    236 Perkins (on hold)
    244 Cantu
    251 Gomes
    253 Hinske
    273 T.Jones
    277 Lamb (on hold)
    292 M.Diaz

I'd trade any of my dupes 1:1 for the Duchscherer card.

If you don't have anything to trade, I'm also selling my dupes @ $3 + SASE w/toploader and adequate return postage.

Send me a PM if you're interested in a trade or purchase.

    thanks,
    Kirk

I've opened seven boxes. This is the only ink I've pulled. Only two boxes had a 1959 box loader. I'll pick up one or two tomorrow and post my trade list.

  • After showing remarkable willpower and a complete disdain for Topps for launching this product and in my mind sullying the good Heritage name, I caved and ordered a case last week. It was made less painful by the MSN discount (25% at the time), but I blame Geordie's peer pressure nonetheless. I'm sure I'll be up for some trading shortly...
  • Finally getting around to posting my needs list, I'll try to get my available list posted soon.

    Needs:
    Green: 661, 682
    Black: 539, 549, 596
    TN: 4, 7

Jim, I actually think that'd be a smart move. You might throw it out there with a BIN/BO and see what happens. Obviously now that a couple have surfaced, the rest will start popping out of the woodword. If not, most of us had already resigned ourselves to the fact that the set would be considered complete without #285, kind of like the '06 Gordon.
