THE OFFICIAL 2008 TOPPS HERITAGE HIGH NUMBER THREAD!!!!!

Please post information, pictures, pulls, thoughts, opinions, trades, etc. about 2008 Topps Heritage High Number Series here. I was told that the release date is this Tuesday the 19th although it looks like a couple of auctions on EBay state that is now live. Any truth to this? I would also like to hear thoughts and opinions from the Heritage regulars. Is this Topps way of enhancing a good thing or killing a good thing?

<< <i>The dealer by my office gave me a presale price of $53. I only had enough cash for one box, because I just bought a box of regular Heritage from him (stupid). He said his order should be there Tuesday. I won't be back until next Monday. I'll see what I can find between now and then. >>
Jim...how is the little one? Going to put a 2008 heritage set away for them?
Kevin
I hope my dealer has them on Wednesday!

Is the Topps website checklist correct on the Clubhouse cards? It appears a majority of them will be repeat players, which should make Ebay a nightmare trying to tell these apart.
The 4 year-old and the baby are doing great. We are currently in transition. We have been temporarily living in an apartment for a whole year now with our relocation. We have this three-bedroom apartment full, our house is full (staged), and we have three storage units packed full of junk. One of the storage units is for cards only. Both of the kids will be able to take their pick of cards if they chose to do so when the time comes. My wife may arrange a premature meeting with my Maker if this does not end soon.

<< <i>My two retail boxes yielded 234 green backs (71 were duplicates), 33 black backs (six duplicates), six chrome, one refractor, one black refractor (John Danks), four Rookie Performers, three TAN, four FB, and a Clubhouse Collection Alex Gordon Jersey (This card has a glossy finish; is that common?). It seems most of the sp's are 676-720, but I don't really have enough product to be sure. If anyone finds the sp's or black back check list, please post. >>

can we get a pic of the Gordon?

There's a Bob Gibson card up right now, but that, I would assume, is for the high series. I can see a lot of people getting confused by these.
Do the back of the Clubhouse cards have any marking saying they are from the "high" series or update series?
<< <i>Glossy finish? Is it different from the other Clubhouse Collection relics posted on the first page of this thread?? My thoughts are that the SPs are probably 686-720 since it was announced that there are 35 SP cards.

The few CC cards I have from the "original" 2008 Heritage have a flat finish, similar to the regular cards in the set. This card has a glassy/glossy/ "shiny" finish to the front of the card. I'll try to get a picture out later today. The card is HCC-AG with no mention of high number series.
All are for sale or trade, so make offers if you would like anything. I still have abunch of '06 and '07 SP needs if you have any to trade.
Everything I have posted will be on feebay later tonight.

Currently I have about 385 of the 572 for a complete set. Only short about 200 cards... sounds like a lot but when you consider there are only 6 to a case I am pretty happy with the progress.
So, I am buying or trading for any 1959 Topps Buybacks I do not have. below is a list of the cards I need. If anybody can help or has any new information about these cards please send me a PM.
Thanks, Dave
