Joe - got your text. Didn't get out of work until 11:30. Unbelievable pull rate for chrome. Looking forward to getting together and seeing your haul in person!
pathetic, isn't it? And yet we collectors, like sheep(le), follow blindly along. C'mon Topps - not that hard to use one of the other 100 or so pics you took at the same photo shoot for your various product releases.
After 7 boxes, the Snider was definitely the highlight. I pulled a couple blacks, several refractors and chromes, a Maury Wills autograph, Brooks Robinson and Bill Mazeroski Clubhouse Collections, and that is about it. I'll try to get pics up later. The Snider is for trade if anyone has any vintage I need in EX or better. If not, I will be selling it.

Is this what regular heritage should be? Multiple autos per case and multiple chromes and refractors per box...Im liking it, but centering is off on almost every card!
I agree with Kevin - this is what Heritage should be. Looks like the rumors that they cut production were correct, based on the numbers of chromes and autos that are being pulled. I'm going to snag a few boxes today.
Also, let's not forget that this is a SOLID auto checklist. Most of the modern players are actually stars! I think I may make a run to see how many Jonny Gomes black refractors I can pick up.
<< <i>What is the price range on buybacks from the 2008 Heritage set? Thanks for any info. foot >>
Hey Foot, prices vary depending on the player, commons go for a range from .99 up to about $10, stars rarely are available. Do you have any available to sell or trade, I am attempting to complete the set.

12 more packs from the local and nothing significant, but was amused to het 2 refractors of the sane player in them with sequential numbering (77/78 of 559)
Anybody else finding chromes/refractors being stuck together in the same pack? This has happened at least 5 times for me.

yup, happened a couple times. best one was a Joba Chamberlain 52 rookies chrome. don't think it was in same pack but 2 packs in a row and they were sequentially numberd
I did just open a pack of Heritage that had 3 black backs in a row in the same pack
I have opened plenty of packs with either two chromes, or a chrome and a refractor in it, never two refs though. Two of my boxes had both and auto and GU in them, and one box had a black refractor in it to...if you have opened any heritage you know that this NEVER happened. It looks like topps printed the same number of GU/Black Refs/Autos as usual, but made far less packs. This is good for us, as the value in these are much better than expected. I think what the weak chrome checklist does to take down the product, the autographed inserts pushes it back up. I have seen some very nice cards pulled and lets remember that on card autos are a true rarity today in the hobby.
Geordie...Im not collecting the GU, so Ill hold them for you...are you busting any?

Kevin, not sure yet. I've already made a deal for a complete set w/ SSPs, SPs & black backs. Need a few of the Rookie Performers, plus 12 chrome. I'm sure when blasters hit the local Target, I'll be busting some of those. I'm also being tempted to split a case locally, but before I do that, I need to pay for what I've already purchased. Hold those relics - we'll work something out.

Nuts about the Snider/Kershaw. Can't tell these days if it was Enigma or a die-hard Dodger fan (um, Geordie).
Great find, Kevin. You "discover" the MVP auto and my boxes still sucked no matter how many times I sort them.
