Pricetags aside, I like the first better than the other two. It might just be the photography, but it looks to have a little better luster.

I'd take the MS65 and let others pay the premium for the single point increments. Unless you're doing a Registry set, and the extra grade point (or two) is worth the extra money to you. (And there's not necessarily anything wrong with that).

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

If you're looking for the "best deal", I'll always say MS65 for this date irregardless of the actual coin in question. But in this particular case, I like #1 the best anyway. Color, strike, luster, the coin has it all.

Coin #1 seems to have nice eye-appeal. I like that one, and it may prove to be a good value.

The thing on the first coin is on the reverse above America I cannot tell if it is a die crack or rim damage?

Sharply struck Buffalos are worth more, whether the "market" agrees, or not. The photographs might not show all three equally, but it's #1 for me.
Good deals with: goldman86 mkman123 Wingsrule wondercoin segoja Tccuga OKCC LindeDad and others.

First one is nicest, send it in for the gold football. If you're just looking for registry points, gotta go with C.

What you're seeing is called "flash" and it's a byproduct of the injection molding process during the manufacturing of the plastic slab. It's not a part of the coin.

Looks like coin #1 went for a bit better than $175, with coin #2 going for only slightly more than coin #1

Coin #2 is the best for the price IMHO .

Coin #1 has one of those streaky planchets ( improper alloy mix) that I find a bit distracting. The shoulder looks a little worse than #2 and about the same as #3. There are also quit a few more hits on coin. As far as the obverse goes the coin looks pretty good.

Coin #3 is the best of the 3 coins, I think. Appears to have outstanding luster and while I do not think it is the best struck it certainly appears to be the cleanest of the three.

Coin #2 is the best struck IMHO and while it is very hard to determine luster from photo's i'll assume the luster is decent . For the price difference between the 66 and the 67 and assuming the luster is about equal i'll take the better struck coin in the lower grade every time.

I like one. Easy to look at and pops. The other I just glanced at.

Looks to me like coin #2 has a rim nick at 6o'clock on the rev unless its just the picture that makes me look away from that coin

Well I figured I would give an update on this thread. I ended up purchasing the first coin and sent it in for a regrade because the holder was a little damaged and I figured why not just spend the few extra dollars for the re-grade. So I got the coin back and it came back MS-66!! SWEET! previously was a 65

Worth the premuim relative to its original holder! The Trueview pic is much more attractive that the TT photo.

Well , I have to man up and admit I was wrong. Definitely nothing distracting about that coin. In fact it looks pretty spectacular. I don't understand these auction houses with their crappy photo's. You did real good with the upgrade. I am still thinking coin #2 is the better struck coin, however I'm not sure it has the eye appeal yours has.

No. 1 is the superior coin, and you obviously made a wise choice. The definition on the Indian's hair knot and the fur on the bison's head is superior.
That CAC would put a sticker on that MS67 specimen says it all about CAC. It is not PQ for the grade...ridiculous!
