I would love to be there, but I just opened my coin shop and need to be here trying to do business to pay the bills. Just can't justify the expense to close and go down there.
If in the Pittsburgh, PA area stop by and spend some money, I need it. Donations accepted

I would have loved to, if for no other reason than to view Stewart Blay's copper, bu tit's not in the cards this year. The years the show is on the east coast, it always conflicts with my daughter's birthday. If it ever comes to NYC again, I'll just arrange to have her come with me as her present.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

I've found that prices at the ANA conventions are through the roof. Just about any show is better when it comes to pricing. The last ANA I attended was the one in Philadelphia, which I think was 2000. I remember than the Republicans were holding their national convention there that year.
BUT if you are looking for something rare and are willing to pay full retail and then some, you probably wil find what you want.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free
Nope, I didn't know of it's existance in time to plan for it (Read-Save money!) I thought it would have been cool to have the major show like that being my first ever show, but it won't happen. I am planning on going in 2010 and 2012 when it is in Boston and Philadelphia, according to their websight. I've never been to either city (I'm a country boy-not into the big citys!) Maybe I'll have some more money to spend by then.
I might be able to get to the aforementioned Coinfest in CT though...There's a show in NJ at Parsippany this Sunday and no money for that either!!
can't make it.......................i can't get parole...
