I apologize for his nickname. If this guy could get his color down pat his coins could almost pass as NT. With the right color, a couple of those Washingtons might look real nice. I;m not encouraging his actions, but these AT's are better than most.

I agree, far too hard a change from one color to another, there's no gradual transition from one color to another and too dramatic a change too boot!

The best coin doctors do even toning on the rims of Unc. CBHs, many of which are in first world TPG slabs.
I can spot it a mile away, because I've seen so many of them. You have the center of a CBH that is as white as a Washington Quarter. The rim toning is even on both obverse and reverse. It fades from charcoal, russet or a shade of blue on the rim as it gets to the devices.
Some of these coins have 'interesting' blue / purple / or other colored toning. They are all expensive, and all AT, although some may consider them to be "market acceptable."
