Going to Scout Camp. Post a coin with a tree on it!
 of 4-17-04 004.jpg)
Late tomorrow I'm taking 10 boys to Scout camp for 6 days, so show me a coin with a tree on it.
This is going to be quite the trip! I'm the Scoutmaster and most of the boys are "Special Needs" kids. We started this unit less than a year ago with just 4 boys because they needed it. It has since mushroomed into 10 kids. Some of these kids not only are Special Needs, but come from very poor families. Since most of them had no camping gear I went to Cabella's and they helped out tremendously with personal gear for the boys and unit gear for the troop. If this goes well (and I think it should), I may try a fun trip later in the summer down to the gulf coast somewhere near Galveston.
See you guy & gals Saturday the 28th.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

Edited because my Snapfish links suddenly changed to huge red boxes for reasons that I have not yet figured out.

thanks! It's kind of like my "dream" coin. Before I really started collecting coins, I was reading a Hardy boy's book, "The Melted Coins" and Joe and Frank's friend, Chet Morton, found a Pine Tree shilling on his family's farm while digging in the fields. For some reason that Pine Tree shilling really grabbed my attention and I still would love to be able to get one some day. Good thing I'm young!
