I just ripped 129 Toys r us jumbo packs and looked what popped out:

I think you need to apply a warm compress to your forehead. I'm almost expecting you to start talking in tongues.

Per the Sandy Koufax thread, not that there's anything wrong with a warm compress.

Anyone try K-Mart's blasters yet? That's the only store around this area. No Targets or Walmarts here.
I know they carried them last year.

I might run down there after work today and see what they have

With Kevin having found 2 other wierd smoltz variations (unless he made them himself) it made me think about the original 1959 set. As someone in the thread has mentioned already were 3 variations of card #40 Warren Spahn, and card # 40 was Smoltz card number in Topps' original list before they gave it to Tim Hudson, but maybe they had made the variations already.

Will have the rest of my cards sorted tonight! Hopefully I can get my internet fixed as well and get up my want/trade list! The rest of my case wasn't too great. Did get a red real one. Out of 2 cases I pulled 2 ink and no A,B relics or Smoltz/Santana. Kind of disappointing but hopefully will be able to get both in the future.

Oops, sorry about that. I was the one that bid $408! Got a second chance for $408, says it also has both Smoltz's and Santana's so I bought it as well. I opened four cases and did not get one Jon Smoltz. I did get one Santana Mets card. >>

Oh well, no worries. If I had left my original snipe instead of raising it we would have both gotten them for under $400 lol

I opened a hobby box yesterday. Pure garbage. I got a clubhouse collection Torii Hunter and a refractor Matt Holliday. Thats it. It was my only box of Heritage to open.

Well still no retail in my area, so I called the shop that I bought the 9 packs from the other day that yielded 3 chrome and an auto. They just got a box in (yeah they only order 1 at a a time), $80 was the price, but with the withdrawals I couldn't say no. Here is the breakdown.

But then there was this:

Sure it's not a huge name, but it's red ink, so out of 33 packs from the shop I pulled two autos not bad.

No blasters around here yet. My wife is headed downstate (re: more than 1000 people per town) this weekend and is going to check some Targets & walmarts for me.

My WalMart finally had a few blasters in today and I grabbed one. Nothing special, a few SPs I needed, a Hanley Ramierez chrome, and Ortiz, Ichiro, Tim Lincecum and Prince Fielder Perez cards. I was hoping for a little better, but I don't have that Zep touch.

Nothing at my local K-Mart. Headed over to BC Sports at the mall and they already sent all 6 boxes they had back because no one bought any of them. Can you believe that? I used to like that place too. Don't sell anything in 2 weeks so it goes back? That's ridiculous.

So I went to EB and bought MLB 2K8 for the XBOX 360.

Not being able to check this thread last night (the forum was down for me, hopefully I wasn't the only one), was tough. I have a couple of PMs out there too, and the inability to banter and live vicariously through other people getting ink was a downer. Yes, I'm in the addicted camp...

Well I finally found some retail this morning, stopped at the Walmart by my house and they had 9 blasters and about 100 of the blister packs, needless to say they no longer have any blasters. The ripping will begin soon, hopefully I have some of the luck the other guys have had with the blasters.

I'll take a SP over the blacks and inserts any day. I did notice that the Walmart packs seemed to have more of the semi SP greenbacks.
