How often, if ever, do you spread your collection out and view it in its entirety?

If you have done this, does the size and scope of the collection surprise you when you see it all at once?
I have never done this with my entire collection, however I have placed multiple cameo proof half dollars in whitman snap lock holders on my kitchen table at night and turned on the recessed lighting above the table. Quite a dramatic effect. Sort of like lots of cars pointed at you at night with their high beams on.

Of course the rolls stay in the ammo boxes and the Proof sets are just inventory know. But the type set gets to be viewed.
A few of my collections are massive.
If ya' spread 'em out you'd hafta stand too far away to see 'em.
Many are in different safety deposit boxes.
It's fun to see all the coins you've amassed over the years
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!

me, once a year! i need to use a safety deposit box for so much
gold.
<< <i>If I recall correctly, Fatman posted a picture of his collection spread out on a table. There were mountains upon mountains of gold and silver rarities. It looked pretty impressive (hopefully I am not confusing his collection with someone else's). >>
Mountains and Mountains of rarities is a bit of a stretch

Very cool.
Looks like a great place to play.
Every now and then I'll take a set out of the safe deposit box, like proof Frankies or MS Frankies including the doubles (triples etc.).
U.S. Type Set
If I did, it would have to be when my wife and kids are not around. If they saw it, I would not hear the end of it
<< <i>Fatman, what are the large coins near the center of the table that are in AirTite holders? >>
