Hmmm, BOB, how about a SP auto that's going anywhere from $75-$100 on EBay? You should be very, very happy with what you got. That is a Hobby box result for about $40-$50 cheaper. The Emperors are not all that easy of a pull and the flags are nice too. If you're not going after the Blacks, the Lincecum is very good to trade/sell.

I went to my local Targets today they had two boxes on the rack the cashier asked me how much they were because the scanner wouldn't scan the bar code so she looks on the side of the box and it says 2.99 a pack and she rings the two boxes up at 2.99 a box for a total with tax of 6.34. I'll go back tomorrow and see if they have any more. Their were 24 packs with 6 cards in each pack.

I hope this (box purchase) doesn't spin this thread out of control. Probably not the best thing to do.

One more question, am I to understand the Short Print List applies to the minis as well?

Nothing quite like stealing some baseball cards to make you feel good....

Allen & Ginter is one of those sets that people watch though... the 2006 is actually what got me back into cards (well, that, and grading my Nolan Ryan collection). When I got into 2006 A&G, it was October of last year, and eBay was full of pricy auctions for relics, short prints, and nono minis. My spending in 2007 so far has been all A&G apart from a tryst with Bowman Heritage *blech* in January.

I know I'm not alone in my A&G appreciation.

Bowman Chrome will attract the "prospectors" and insert hunters, but I'd bet money there are plenty of diehard A&Gers out there to keep prices going up up up for months.

Geez, I must have done really well with the 3 bonus boxes I purchased. I'm going to purchase a few more today if they have any in stock. Good luck on the pulls.

Halfway through - 2 GU, 1 auto, an emperor, and one of the snazzier no#'s... not bad for 8 blasters.

Now all you need is a Snake. Hissssssssssssssss *snake mojo* Edit: And now I see you got a snake in box 14. Not the best break ever, but clearly not bad.

Also, I am now convinced that the blasters sent to Target are "loaded." The majority of big breaks posted on Beckett came from Target. Wal-mart, not so much.

I've been buying from Meijer... probably 10-12 blasters now, and the biggest I've pulled was a no number and Miguel Cabrera's GU.

Here is the current trade list, the regular mini set is just about finished, and the A&G back set is down under 100. I have quite a few cards coming in so my available list should increase in the next couple of days.

Went to my local Target stores today, both completely out of product. So I ordered 4 blaster boxes off of eBay for $82 delivered. That's about 3 bucks cheaper than I'd pay at Target after tax, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Thinking about ordering a retail box for $64.99 delivered too. I don't know though.

Need to revamp my trade list again. Until then, thanks to everyone that's helped me complete my base set... woo!

This will be my first hobby box rip, but my third in total (I had 2 retail 24-ct boxes)....and I've yet to get ANYTHING special other than a Hideki Matsui no-# mini. No relics, no autos, no bazookas, no nothin....

They do if they are sealed Goot, but if you see a box of 24 at Target thats opened already, it could be 24 loose packs from 2 or 3 boxes that have been condensed into one box, and has been "searched" already.

Hey everyone new here mostly hang out on the Bmb. Have been lurking here for awhile. I mostly collect Autographs and T206.
Well Im hooked all it took was 2 blasters and I was back the next day for 2 more then the next day back to Target for the last one. The first four were the best! The 5th brought me back down to earth. I am now addicted to wax again after 10 years and I am loving it!
