So I hit a coin show this morning and one of my dealers has some sealed proof sets for me.
At a whopping bid -3%, got a dozen sealed sets, well you know Russ will keep PMing me all day until I open them! So out of the 64s I find a couple nice Kennedy Halves and one that I have been looking for FOREVER! A 1964 Proof Kennedy Struck Thru a thread!!! Woo Hoo... It's not much, but proof struck thrus are not easy to find!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

<< <i>Marty, when you buy '64 proof sets, you should look for AHs, they're worth a little more
They are common as dirt, that what Russ told me.

Hello. If you would, can you elaborate on the "struck through the thread" coin. I received a similiar JFK in one of my 2006 proof sets and was wondering what that peculiar marking was. HM
A thread?
A STINKING THREAD??
I prefer my proofs struck thru miniature ray guns or other alien artifacts:

Do people who collect accented hairs qualify as coin collectors?
