I noted the Hibernia half penny so if we are going to go back in time ...

The Oak Tree Two Pence is the only Mass. silver piece that bears the date 1662.

OK before someone else grabs the date ...

A nice crusty piece of early gold that will proably end up at NCS after I sell my collection, because she's not bright and shinny. image

what would've been helpful was a poll to accompany the thread to see what date wer left that one could post. at the time of posting a new coin you would click the non-date entry to view the poll. after choosing a new date, choose your date in the poll, vote. Then we would have a current, all the time list of what HASN'T been posted!

That would have been interesting too as it would have limited one entry per person, making it more challenging to complete.

it would work very well with a closed series. we could have a series of these eventually; a nice bookkeeping system that would keep the virtual collection neat. I'll post an Indian Head set with a list of date/mintmarks later so that we can give it a try! Remember one contribution/person and remember to check off the date!
