Check out this toned Peace Dollar. IGuess the Grade. No cheating. I know its a very common date but I love the tone. I dont do a lot of Peace Dollars so what kind of premium might I expect to get for the tone?

Dang, I hate being first on "guess the grade" threads.

Edited to add: Clearly based upon the others replies the darkness and flatness I'm seeing must not be rub. Coinguy1 is never wrong.
Sure, there may be lots of imperfections that don't show in the images, but it's the images upon which we must make our guesses. I see hardly any flaws in the images provided. What am I missing?
I do like the coin, though!

the toning is very average, not worth the slightest premium.

It is just an untoned area.
<< <i>Jmj3esq, what is the light/white area on the right side of Liberty's jaw and on her upper neck? An untoned area? A pasty toned area? Light friction? Thanks.

Thanks, and I obviously like the coin, especially for an MS62.

<< <i>ms-62??? further proof that truview sucks, imo. the digi-pic does NOT depict a ms-62 peace $

Seems to me it proves you can't grade off a [small] image more than it proves that True View sucks.
I personally like the tone.
Would fetch a 50% premium on eBay, I believe.
May be worth a re-submittal, I think it deserves at least a 63,
even if it has a few minor marks.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or in this case the grader(s).
I'm sure the graders' opinions on toned coins are as diverse as in this thread.
Thanks for posting it,

1923 Peace Dollar MS62
Do you still have the same opinion?
It dosn't look that bad in hand, but it sure does at that HUGE size.

if i can't grade off it, what good does it do me??? "truview" sounds more like "trickyview" to me!

I don't think anyone can consistently grade a coin off an image of that size.... or even my preferred size of True View:
Seriously, very nice coin.
You bought the coin for $20? Then had it slabbed? So you might have $50-$60 into the coin? Is that about right?

so again i ask, of what use is "truview"? can't grade by it. can't judge a coin by it. does'nt look like the coin in real life. might as well be a digital drawing, no?
