    Yep! Must be the plastic!

The pictures with it are the pits. One could not tell from them if the coins are 60s or 70s. An NGC 70 was available last weekend at the Sarasota coin show for $1,500. I guess I missed a bargain. image

PCGS policy is to not slab any unc. SAEs 70 because of the milk-spotting problem.

Has PCGS formally stated this in writing??? Or is this an assumption...... I have not seen this documented.. I may have missed it. Seems a very arbitrary policy if true. Cheers, RickO

I don't believe it for a minute. Private auction? Yeah right. Just another ebay seller trying to set the price with a shill auction. Nothing but a scam.

    Warning!!!

    Scam!!!

Fatman was right, I had this item "Watched" in my ebay and I just got an e-mail notice saying the set was relisted!!!

    Look at the price now?

    This is a scam.

Scam relisted ASE set at much lower bidding

The guy might have sent in a large quantity of sets and got back several proof 70's. All I know is the last set I had I sold wholesale for $2,700. What a country!!!!

Maybe but I'd say not. I assume what you meant to say is that it is your esteemed opinion that this is a scam. He says right in his auction that this is his last set. It didn't say that in his previous auction. Bidders don't always recognize how much more common NCG 70s are than PCGS and tend to overpay--that's why a lot of high volume sellers prefer NGC.

No. Actually smart, very smart. Why shud PCGS be on the hook for the Mint's problem(s)?
