There is other 1985 FB thread?!? I am out of touch. Mostly I just visit this board now, I'll take a look for the other.

Well, I had already busted about 2 rak boxes before picking those up and I have about 40 cards that should be either high end PSA 9 or PSA 10. Anyone that's picked up a lot of my PSA 8s, the ones I've graded myself, can tell you I only send really solid examples.

So I don't know, if I get good results the first time, Ill be encouraged to break and send more. The main reason I haven't sold to you lately sixdart, is because I haven't graded any in probably 6 months or more. But if I do send a massive order there will plenty for all.

In the meantime, won't anyone take this gem mint HOFer????

I had a bad order right after the National last year then I had a small lot not long ago that I did a little better on but it was only like 12 cards.

Haven't really found a lot to upgrade MOSH with on 85, but I see you've been doing your work. Submitting, upgrading etc. It isn't easy.
4 Sharp used to do more football but not for a while. My bill with them has gone down over time.

i'm hoping for some good pulls. i picked up one of the boxes from talyho. about the same price that i got from BBCE. i hoping for a much better box. will let you all know how it goes. i'll post the solid ones.

i busted half the rack box last night. i think they were very nice. looks like some sweet 9s and i'll hope for 10s. pulled a couple of lowery's. one looks to be a 7 and the other pushing a 9.

i should have you covered on the lowery and bengals upgrade....however, i opened the rack box (no bakers...or moons). i had 1 marino and several record breakers but not very may LDR cards. overall the box was nice (by far better than racks i've ever purchased before). should yield a few 10s (fingers crossed) and many 9s. i've got close to 500 85t to submit from recent wax and rack busts. i'm sure i missed some of those hidden surface flaws so i'll be going back thru some of them to pull them out.

i did have a nice payton, marino and several montana's and elway's from this rack box. the elways were pathetic (highest one probably an 8 if i'm lucky). i'll still get them slabbed.

even though i did not yield a complete set from this box, the cards themselves were nice and flat. i will be replacing some cards in my raw set with ones from this box and hopefully adding more to a psa 8 set. i need to register it and see if i can complete it.

didn't you say you picked up the last rack box from D and A?

if that rack box is from the same lot as the one i won you will be satisfied with the quality. i'm laying out my 85s tonite to see what is actually going to be submitted. i tend to submit the paytons, elways, etc...even if the condition is not mint. i just like having them in slabs. i would have liked to have had another one at that price if i knew the quality was the same.

fyi, most of the insert cards were very o/c. don't know if these are sought after in graded form or not.

Does anyone have an 85 Bill Bates RC in PSA 8 or higher that they will sell?

Thank you for the congratualtions!

It's nice to have PSA recognize my set - it justifies all the time, effort and money that's been invested. My original goal was a 9.00 GPA 100% set, so I've exceeded my expectations. Because so many forum members have contributed to my set, I feel they to can share in its success - especially Mike King (metalmike20).

There have been a few nice lots available on eBay from a couple of sellers. I've picked up a few cards and moved back into the #9 spot!

All I can tell you is I had a disaster with 3 1986 football vending boxes last year. Vending is always tough to produce gradeable cards, and out of three boxes I got zero 10's, a few 9's, and mostly 8's. Not to mention 1986's are easier to grade than 1985's are.

Vending can be very hit and miss, I've opened some vending and I didn't even get one card worth even sending in. Personally for grading I prefer cello or rack, vending is fine if you like making sets.

Yep we only lost one we bid on, meant to raise the bid on the Eagles TL card - of well, when you play with Marcus your gonna lose some.
