    Yep, Morgan Dollar, but I'd vote for the 1893-S in MS-65 over the 1895 Proof.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    1895 Morgan is overhyped. It's relatively common as proof Morgans go. I vote for high relief saints.

    I'm gonna agree with the $50 octagonal Pan-Pac.

    Any slug ($50) would qualify.

    THE most Macho coin, IMHO, would be either of the Half Unions in the Smithsonian.

    Absent those, J-1776, my icon, would be.
    PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
    I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

    The Horseman $10 gold, and not the reproductions. I also think the 3 legged buffalo should get some consideration, because it is well known outside of the realm of collectors.

    From when I started collecting in the 60's ---there was only one coin that said it all.

    1804 silver dollar.

    Wasn't it the first million dollar coin?



    I suppose if you asked the question in 1920....it was the 1913 nickel....

    Only those in the village. A strange folk they are, but nothing wrong with that.

    07 high relief saint, i had one in my hands (PCGS MS64, wire rim) and i could not stop staring at it, totally mesmerized. Pics never do this coin justice, you have to see one.

    ALthough I would love to own one of these, I just can't agree with you. Any coin with that obverse and a rubber chicken on the back cannot be considered "Macho".

    I would agree with others and choose the Pac-Pan Commem or the High Relief Saint. The Pac-Pan beats all though.

    My vote goes to the type I SLQ.

    You have a babe running toward you with her clothes littering the ground behind her.
    She has a quill pen in one hand so she can sign her check over to you. She carries a shield
    in case you need protecting. Breen says that that MacNeil's original design didn't include
    the shield. She was carrying a tray with a mint julep on it for her master. The eagle on the reverse
    surely represents power and vigilance.

    What could be more macho than that?
