No kidding. I left about six packs there. I just might go back for them tomorrow.

Yes. They put each pack in its own blister and hang it on the display pegs in the card section. They seem to do that in "the hood." The TRU in the better suburbs had the regular blaster boxes.

The TRU in Torrance puts the Blasters themselves in giant plastic bubbles, like you would see on a PS2. Then you have to wait in line for the cashier to find the magic "unlocking device". If you can sneak a Blaster Box out of TRU, yeesh.

whoa...this could be big news for everyone! We wondered where all the autos are.....maybe topps held them back and they
are all in the late TRU packs?? Time to hit some stores!

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like the earlier packs yeilding nothing, and now everone is pulling autos image
  • Wasn't this the same way last year? Didn't a lot of us get most of our good pulls a couple months after the boxes hit the market? I have opened 10 boxes so far and no ink yet, 2 black refractors though. I have 2 more on the way and most likely going after 2-5 more before the end of the month.
  • After 2 retail boxes and on my 6th blaster box, I pulled my first ink....didn't bring as much as I'd hoped.

Bought the last 7 blister packs from my local (Ft. Myers, FL) TRU today. A litle better pull than usual, especially the blasters.

    2 refractors
    1 chrome
    A few SPs I need.
    1 NAP Ortiz
    Six light backs

This TRU has blasters in the security boxes also, but two to a box.

Sorry for the salty potted meat, but I thought this may interest some of you. I have listed the Hank Aaron auto on ebay. I am a huge Aaron fan, but I really don't care for autographs.

FYI, the blue ink Aarons are going for about $220. The red will probably hit 300 IMO - congrats.

    "All right then."

I hear that stuff's really good with sody crackers.

I ducked into about six different retailers last night where I've seen Heritage available. The only place that had anything was TRU, and that was the first time I'd seen it there. They had ten blister packs and I bought 'em out. No autographs, and only 1 SP and 1 no-name Chrome out of the lot....a real Charlie Brown card night. Maybe I'll pop in tonight and see if they have more.

So is Heritage pretty much gone at Target, Walmart, and Kmart for everyone else?

    Todd
  • I found 2 blaster boxes and an unsearched retail box at my Target last night. I didn't buy any then but may stop back in this evening.

Thanks, Keith. I was stunned at the ending price. Most of that bidding was in the last 19 seconds. I plan to post my purchases from the proceeds for an informal poll.

    Mike - I've got #36 & 37 from your wantlist.

From your tradelist, I need any two of the following: 15 28 32 45 67 87 90 92. If there is a way to obtain the other six, LMK. I can send you six of my other dupes so you still have the same amount of trade bait. LMK if that would work.

  • hey guys i have a question, why some boxes of heritage cards have an H logo and are called hobby boxes and other boxes have no H logo?

<< <i>hey guys i have a question, why some boxes of heritage cards have an H logo and are called hobby boxes and other boxes have no H logo? >>

    theredsock
The "hobby" version is only sold by dealers and this year other than supposed better odds of getting an auto card, there was no difference from the "retail" sold at Target e.g. - there was supposed to be inserts in the top of the boxes but was left out. Last year they had double header inserts.
So, buy the retail where you find it. Last year the sealed boxes which go for 19.99 (this year) were a good deal since we were netting 11 sp's per box - this year that doesn't hold - but if autos is not your deal - the sealed boxes in terms of total packs is a bargain since you will get 24 packs for 60 bucks (3 boxes) as opposed to buying the open pack boxes (24 pks/box) for 72 bucks.
If you attempt the set - PM me and I will try to help you with the commons - I have plenty - if you check ebay, tho not as much fun, you can probably get the "base" set - no SP's for a bargain - not going to say anything about the centering or anything of a particular sale since I would be clueless?

    Good luck

Jeff is right, both #135's are SP's but #125 is Nomar. Here are the two I have, I'm not even sure which one is the SP. Hope this helps, I'm new to scanning, so the final result could be ugly.
  • I know both #135's are SP's image. And I guess I need to add #125 because I only have the red hat version(even though I purchased a 5 card lot off of ebay with that supposed SP in there). That was my question about that particular SP, sorry for any confusion and thanks for the scan BRM, appriciated.

Editted to add the picture on the beckett site shows him in a red hat in both the SP and the regular card, which probably caused my confusion and the guy who sold me a reg. as a SP's confusion.

The 125 Nomar SP has him in the 56 uniform.

The "C" on his hat and his socks are different.

The "C" has a pointy left side like the Cincy logo, and his socks are striped.

    grrr......now what?!!! motherf*!$&*
  • The only thing I've ever had to go off of was the beckett site, which lists it as red hat as the reg. card and blue hat as the SP. Weird how they have that messed up but on the Prior card they have it right. Thanks again to everyone for the help.
