There ain't too many numismatic career opportunities in Glynn County, Georgia (short of biting the bullet and becoming an entrepreneur), and I don't think I'd wanna relocate.

I qualify for all of those but one. I want to escape the warm. We have had record highs recently (woke up with snow on the ground for the first time in weeks.) Florida would really suck to have to live there.

I'd probably get in touch with a local dealer (let's call him "H.B.") who is big enough to need employees.
But it would be a little scary having to ask here for references!
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

It does. I lived there for a year when I was with Holiday Inns and I couldn't wait to get back home.

Re the original question. No, I'd never consider a career in numismatics. Besides not being a sales type, it would take the fun out of it.

No, my preference is a locale that isn't constant stifling heat and humidity where I don't have to change clothes in the middle of the afternoon each day from dripping sweat while working.

I'd imagine it's fun as a tourist, but it sucks for somebody wearing a suit everyday running a high volume food and beverage operation.
