@USMarine6 thank you sir, that one is most definitely a “keeper”, that is until it isn’t!

I bought this coin raw around 20 years ago from Tim Puro of Rutland, VT, and it's been in my 7070 ever since. I think it's the third one I've had, but the only one that's still in my collection.

What is the most common year for this coin?
    1875-1875S?
I am researching them but its good to get advice from experienced collectors.

I have an honest to Betsy rim clipped 1875-S in my type set now, but until acquiring that I had to settle for cracked planchets like these two Carson City examples.

    Sean Reynolds

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

1875-S by a mile. The 1875 is a better overall value, IMO, although they’ve increased in price a bit. Semi-PL examples really pop in higher grades.

Superb collections are built more by omission than by addition.

1876 Proof. Same coin, now in a PCGS PR64 holder w/CAC; whoever crossed it did not carry the provenance forward.
