Not a coin, but here is an excerpt from the handwritten minutes of the 1876 Assay Commission, showing the Assayer's test of one 1875 Philadelphia "Double Dime."

Superb collections are built more by omission than by addition.
Also terrible photos, but my only $0.20, and love the old fatty holders

As a wise man once said
" your photos suck but your coin dosent"
@USMarine6 thank you sir, that one is most definitely a “keeper”, that is until it isn’t!

Wow..
That's a fantastic coin ...thanks for sharing
Still own it and only one ever owned
I have a "Red Book" collection in Mint State and Proof for all of them except the 1876-CC. The Twenty Cent piece has fascinated me since high school.
Here are a few.
1875 MS
1875 Proof
1875-CC The best thing about this one is that it's fully struck. Many are weakly struck at the top of the eagle's left wing. and the corresponding area on the obverse.
1876 MS-65 This is the best piece I have for preservation
The 1877 Proof. I bought this one during the promotion for these and got buried in it.
The 1878 Proof, which was the last of its kind.

I bought this coin raw around 20 years ago from Tim Puro of Rutland, VT, and it's been in my 7070 ever since. I think it's the third one I've had, but the only one that's still in my collection.
I dont own one but I think I would like one and at some point I will.
Ive seen plenty of them.
Probably my favorite of the whole seated liberty series.
