9's from 1976 and back for OPC are incredibly hard to come by. Hard to believe you can get them at such fair prices too. I looked them on EBAY. I think the Seaver and Mays are just prime time cards.

Work hard and you will succeed!!

Agreed. Feel like I really got a deal on both of those cards, especially the Seaver. My snipe was set for 4x the price I got!

@80s OPC great pickups! The centering on that Banks is superb.

Thanks! I actually woke up yesterday morning and told myself I needed to dial back purchases, these cards came up and couldn’t resist.

Wow your ‘66 Banks looks identical to my 8. Great pickup and your Aaron looks better than my 6.

That '72 Mays card is the reason I will search "Topps PSA 6" on eBay these days. There are some good deals to be had with the new grading standards.

Yes, while I would love to sub the 500+ cards I should have years ago, letting others take the risk - and reward - also works.

  • Options
    BBBrkrrBBBrkrr Posts: 1,960 ✭✭✭✭✭

Wow. That Mays is amazing. I’d be so pissed if I’d subbed that but so happy if I was the buyer!

Agreed, I’m guessing the cut/tilt downgraded it but I’ve seen and have worse on cards two grades higher. Bottom left corner is touched so grade isn’t too far off IMO.

This sold last night for $700. It was advertised as 590 cards but it looks more like 390 cards to me. I emailed NESC last week and they assured me that it was 590 cards. I hope the winner gets 590 cards and not 390.

Strong price for the Brett PSA 4. I always thought that the Brett and the Yount were equal since they are both rookies, but it looks like Brett is the key card in the 75 set.

The yount 8 was an early PSA flip and a bit o/c left to right, would probably grade a 6 now.

    Awesome stuff guys!

I don’t collect OPC singles much to my dismay. but have a fair amount of 80s boxes. I have opened exactly 3 OPC packs ever. All 84. I don’t think I hit anything. And I suspect I wouldn’t hit anything if I opened 3 boxes tmoro.

A certain regular poster back in day said he bought a bunch of 87s at peanuts prices and never did well.

    That’s OPC for you.

I do need to go and get a Winfield at some point tho.

Great cards being shown here by @1966CUDA and @smallstocks. Thanks for sharing, guys.

High-grade OPC is impossible to find and the prices are showing it. A 1976 lot of high-grade commons just sold for almost $1 per card.

I just sold 107 1974 OPC’s last month for $175…… and they sold within an hour of posting them. I guess I should’ve asked for more

The clemente looks strong. Looks like an old 9. Hopefully you will get at least a 7.5. Killebrew looks like a 5, maybe 6.

No intent to grade, just enjoying raw card collecting in bits 'n' pieces. The Clemente replaces one I sold off years ago and regretted it.
