Anyone who is older and has had a hamstring or calf muscle cramp in the middle of the night surely knows how painful that injury could be. And that's just a cramp. As fans, it isn't realistic for us to mock or make light of any sort of injury.

this is nothing new. Caleb has a history of acting in unconventional ways. he's an oddly sensitive guy. but it's authentic. he clearly doesn't care about the optics, which i personally find refreshing. what you, i, or anyone else thinks matters not to him. remember when he sought out his mom after a loss while at USC and cried in her arms? what about the nail painting? this falls right in line with that.
mimicking mago, i couldn't care less about any of the sideshows. i care about him being on the field and making things happen for my team. besides, if we knew every single intricate nugget about every single player on every single team, Caleb would quickly be drowned out and forgotten.
i'm not defending him or getting worked up over what others think about him. i'm simply saying, where have you been? lol this is who he is.

If that was Brady I'd be saying the same thing, it was kind of a big deal in the sense that everyone thought the Bears record setting offense was already done when he went down
I'm glad he is ok, it will all be forgotten about next time he is out playing good ball

Well, there goes the Giants season - too bad.............
The New York Giants face a significant setback as quarterback Jaxson Dart will undergo season-ending surgery following a knee injury sustained during Monday's (September 21) 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Despite initial reports suggesting a sprained MCL, further evaluations revealed more extensive damage to his MCL, PCL, and meniscus, though his ACL remains intact.

Last night we saw how bad Green Bay really is. Hopefully now they will stop being ranked so high in all of the power rankings. I'm not sure why writers think that GB is constantly better than what they really are year after year.

@galaxy27, funny post but Sony Betamax is a bad example. It was actually better than VHS with the exception of recording time, it lost out due to a better marketing scheme.
As far as this new format I haven’t seen anything good about it nor has anyone else posted anything they like. At the coin forum there is one member who likes it and tends to defend it.

Betamax was probably better engineered in narrow technical terms, but what it didn't have was an advantage in the things that actually drove 80s purchasing decisions: recording length (as you mentioned), hardware price, and shelf availability. no one was interested in swapping tapes halfway through the recording of a football game, and when video rental stores exploded, the winner was the format that had the larger installed base of players in people's homes. it was a useful reminder that a technically superior format doesn't automatically win a consumer market -- distribution & licensing strategy can matter more than engineering (also to your point).
it wasn't a sudden death, but it was definitely a long, slow fade
kinda like last night's game between the VHS Falcons and the Betamax Packers

i should have included the Atari E.T. video game as well, one of the worst ever made. i think a boatload of those cartridges ended up in a dump

so I am a Packers fan as much as my lack of interest in NFL allows... I would watch them in the playoffs fan. far from the days in 1996 when I would drive to lambeau every sunday because I knew Howard was going to run one back.
I was at a pre-season game after we got him and saw him take it back and we all kind of knew it was that year.
the game has changed completely from when LeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeRoy Butler was allowed to run free so I don't care as much as I did.
So I don't want you to think I am lying when I thought the Falcons would win this after such terrible showings against Vikes and Jets... I wanted to pick the Falcons but everyone had the Packers and you don't want to lose on a favorite in a kill-game. I probably won't pick them the rest of the year.
and that is the Packers-Trap.
so when you say to not trust the Packers you're right, but you'll always be wrong. Right now I am predicting they will never win another game, and then they will be sitting at 11-6 and I'll wonder what happened.

Funny how the World Cup was able to play in all these stadiums on grass fields with no significant injuries especially non contact ones, but as soon as they switch the fields back to turf when the WC was over guys start dropping like flies

second-half prediction, based on what i saw in the first:
the Chiefs are going to struggle to put away the Dolphins
and Miami doesnt even have their best player on offense (Achane got knocked out early in the 1st Q)
even bolder prediction: perhaps a huge upset

I am sitting here watching the Patriots quarterback implode before my eyes. It looks like the sophomore jinx is alive and well. This kid couldn’t do anything in the first half.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. They look like a Rod Rust team this week. You have to be a veteran Patriots fan to remember those bad old days.

but i'd be willing to bet that Darin isn't happy with that win
we're talking about the worst team in football without their best player on offense, and it was a one-score game with 3 minutes left in the 4th
the Dolphins deserve credit -- they have nothing, but they fought for 4 quarters. their offensive line stonewalled the Chiefs' d-line the entire game
Kansas City went 2 1/2 quarters without scoring a touchdown against a defense that hasn't registered a sack all season
sometimes you have to win ugly, and that's what KC did today
lots to clean up. curious what the #1 Chiefs fan on the board thinks.
