Just added to the Mint website this evening for sale in less than 48 hours on Sept. 10??? Anyone hear of this one before?
On the individual product pages, it says available for pre-sale on November 10, not sure what is on September 10 then?

News of this and the gold Trump coin must be spreading fast. I encountered a two minute waiting room at 5:19 AM.
Total speculation on my part, but I wonder if this new half dollar offering will be privy-marked coins struck on 9/11.
Clearly the product page is still evolving. The bag and rolls options say "Philadelphia (P)" but the roll option says it's a 2-roll set.
Would a Pearl Harbor and 9/11 commem be in the future while we're at it?
They sure put this addition together in a hurry. Probably stamping the open field with 9/11or adding a Twin Tower Privy. The heading dates the release as September 10 ...which makes perfect sense, but when you click on the link to get a closer look at the details, it states "This product will be available for pre-sale on November 10" I think that could be a typo, September 10th makes much more sense.
Which version do you prefer? Which version do you think the mint will make? I think the dated one will be easier for them to stamp out.
I would guess they would be the same design as the 2,983 produced for the memorial.

I'm not sure which is the typo regarding the release date. Have these been struck already? Or are they going to do these on 9/11 similar to the Trump July 4th struck on July 4th?
I think that is the whole idea. I'm guessing they will be the same as the ones oroduced for the 9 11 Memorial, just from Philly instead of West Point.
I'll rephrase... From a flipping perspective, are these worth any time or though? The rest would likely go to a Coin Star at my credit union which charges no fee for loos coinage deposited into a checking account.
As much as our President loves to hate on Canada, we sure do seem to be turning the U.S. Mint into the Royal Canadian Mint.

That makes the most sense. Seems a new record to list a product about 36 hours before a pre-order with little detail. Press release today might clear things up?
I would like the September 10 date, might not give buyer's clubs a chance to get organized?

I could be wrong here, as I don't belong to any group that asks me to buy for them, but I don't think those clubs get all that into bags and rolls, do they? They missed a nice chance at the Trump $1 to make some money judging by the current secondary.

Some of us were wondering if they'd make the 9/11 half dollars available to the general public, but then that would impact the uniqueness of the ones presented to the memorial. Making some with a different mintmark is the ideal solution.
You are correct. I don't have any knowledge of them either. I just know the Trump dollar on sale was stressful for me, and I'm guessing this one will be as much or more so.
The images I have seen of the memorial ones are W and this item shows it is P, so that seems to be the plan. I would still love a W, but as you said this keeps those unique to the 9 11 Memorial.
Many also wondered if they would do an Olympics ASE copy for the lowly citizenry, but I guess not.

go to the mint product web page - choose bag and you'll see it's a 200 coin bag. choose rolls and you'll see it's a pair.
but both show only "P"

It is just another gimmic to sell circulating coinage for ridiculous premiums.
I'm not sure I'd call a memorial to the 25th anniversary of 9/11 to be a gimmick.
If I am able to get some I'm going to put some into circulation.
This coin is just a trinket. Calling it a memorial is a profit seaking stretch.

If this goes down tomorrow as advertised currently, there is no HHL and no mintage limits, so perhaps we will all be able to order whatever we want and they will mint them later. However, there is currently no ordering timeframe in place like they had for the 250 Race Medal from last month.

Well now we at least have an ATS of 100,000 and an expected in-stock date of Dec 3. With any luck, we will see an image (NO PHOTO ... lol) later tonight or tomorrow morning. I would hope they would set up a HHL, or these will not last 15 minutes.
