Looks like a nice coin!
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Very nice! I love a good Walker.

From the photos it does not appear to be very well struck. 1943 is an extremely common date so my feeling is that you should have waited for a much better struck example. Be very selective when purchasing common date material.
It is well struck the photo quality just wasn’t that good
Plus the luster on it is superb in-hand so it has that going for it too

Nice coin!
"She comes out of the sun in a silk dress,
running like a water color in the rain...."
I like 👍
The luster, sun, and fields look exceptional! I think that is a solid coin for MS65.
Collector, occasional seller
Right field near date appears to have PVC haze....
Certainly a possibility but it isn’t too detracting thankfully (if it were PVC)

Nice coin in a nice old holder. I’m not convinced there’s any PVC based on the photo. Enjoy!
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Nice coin at a nice price!
It would have cost you quite a bit more for it, back when that holder was “new”.

Were slabbed coins going for more in the ‘90s?

I like it .Thanks for posting. My first thoughts on a 100 degree day in the NE was it looks frosty, cool and plenty of luster.
Nice coin!
Can't go wrong with a gem in an OGH.
Looks like its got all its parts and pieces.
Sometimes the right field comes out fuzzy especially with cell phone images.

Sweet looking Walker.
I don't know what you paid but whatever it was I'll say nice buy!

Thank you!
I only paid $110 which considering the slab and grade, it really wasn’t too badl

Terrific Walker!

That's a great piece, looks better than a 65 IMO.

Anyone who would mock that Walker needs to get out of the coin mocking business.
Can’t go wrong with a gem Walker in an OGH.
Congratulations!! 🎈🎉 👍

Others probably have better records, but I recall late date walkers, along with common date Morgans, etc. slabbed in MS65 and up being priced quite a bit higher back around 1990 or so. Demand was high, and the supply of certified coins in gem was limited at the time. Of course prices collapsed as many mint state coins existed, even in roll quantities; they just hadn't been submitted for grading yet. Many more have since been graded, then throw in some gradeflation, and the pops of these coins are now quite substantial.
Of course I'm talking about the common dates; there are plenty of examples of the early dates that the prices of the early '90's look like bargains today!
Really nice coin. Looks 66 or higher to me.
That’s very interesting, I thought that was specific to the ‘80s!
