OGH Walking Liberty NEWP
Purchased this yesterday from my LCS for $110; My first MS65 Walker! I put this on another post but I think you guys would enjoy this half enough to make a post out of it. Enjoy!

From the photos it does not appear to be very well struck. 1943 is an extremely common date so my feeling is that you should have waited for a much better struck example. Be very selective when purchasing common date material.

The luster, sun, and fields look exceptional! I think that is a solid coin for MS65.

Right field near date appears to have PVC haze....

I like the coin and its overall look. Looks alittle weak in both the obverse and reverse center which likely explains the 65 grade. And while this is a common date, it really has that white surreal look which really defines white... especially for those that like white or even those that need to be persuaded. Well played.

It sure is bleach white, isn’t it? I think the strike is good. It might just look soft due to the camera angle. I’d have to see it in hand to be sure. The surfaces are very pristine. I think it would MS 66 today but I would never crack it out of that old green holder. Nice Walker. 👍
