Looks like a nice coin!

From the photos it does not appear to be very well struck. 1943 is an extremely common date so my feeling is that you should have waited for a much better struck example. Be very selective when purchasing common date material.

The luster, sun, and fields look exceptional! I think that is a solid coin for MS65.

Right field near date appears to have PVC haze....

Nice coin in a nice old holder. I’m not convinced there’s any PVC based on the photo. Enjoy!

Nice coin at a nice price!

Were slabbed coins going for more in the ‘90s?Others probably have better records, but I recall late date walkers, along with common date Morgans, etc. slabbed in MS65 and up being priced quite a bit higher back around 1990 or so. Demand was high, and the supply of certified coins in gem was limited at the time. Of course prices collapsed as many mint state coins existed, even in roll quantities; they just hadn't been submitted for grading yet. Many more have since been graded, then throw in some gradeflation, and the pops of these coins are now quite substantial.
Of course I'm talking about the common dates; there are plenty of examples of the early dates that the prices of the early '90's look like bargains today!Successful BST transactions with 177 members. breakdown, scotty1419, mattniss, bigjpst, onlyroosies, Manorcourtman, guitarwes, Ebeneezer, Tonedeaf, Shane6596, Piano1, Ikenefic, RG, PCGSPhoto, stman, Don'tTelltheWife, Boosibri, Ron1968, snowequities, VTchaser, jrt103, SurfinxHI, 78saen, bp777, FHC, RYK, JTHawaii, Opportunity, Kliao, bigtime36, skanderbeg, split37, thebigeng, acloco, Toninginthblood, OKCC, braddick, Coinflip, robcool, fastfreddie, tightbudget, DBSTrader2, nickelsciolist, relaxn, Eagle eye, soldi, silverman68, ElKevvo, sawyerjosh, Schmitz7, talkingwalnut2, konsole, sharkman987, sniocsu, comma, jesbroken, David1234, biosolar, Sullykerry, Moldnut, erwindoc, MichaelDixon, GotTheBug2 -

I like the coin and its overall look. Looks alittle weak in both the obverse and reverse center which likely explains the 65 grade. And while this is a common date, it really has that white surreal look which really defines white... especially for those that like white or even those that need to be persuaded. Well played.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

It sure is bleach white, isn’t it? I think the strike is good. It might just look soft due to the camera angle. I’d have to see it in hand to be sure. The surfaces are very pristine. I think it would MS 66 today but I would never crack it out of that old green holder. Nice Walker. 👍
