Show your 1826 coins

As we celebrate 250, recall that key founding fathers Jefferson and Adams both passed on July 4 1826. This July 4 2026 marks the 200th anniversary of the unlikely event of their deaths on the same day. Show em if you got em πŸ‘

1826 in P50 CAC O-101a, one of my favorites!

Where the hell has that coin been? You holding out on me out there? Anything else I should seeπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ?

    πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚it’s been in my set for a little bit. Just been enjoying it so I didn’t post it anywhere yet, it came from another bust collector. Had to pay up!

You should start a bust half set πŸ‘€ would be a fun endeavor. Be careful though, you might just get that deadly β€˜Bust Half Fever’

@JimW: nice historical recognition - two Presidents passing on July 4th,1826. I had forgotten that!
    I don’t have a 1826 - this is as close as I could get:

Note the 1826 as part of the ID#.
    OK, I’ll let myself out….

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

The only coin from 1826 that I currently own:

From the Used to Be Mine folder:

And from the website. An 1826 year set only has 5 coins.

    I don't have much.

A half cent. Note the scratched out spot to the right of the date where the die sinker tried to correct his error. This variety is fairly common.

And from my one a year cent set. This coin "worked for a living."

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
