The web purchase system will not be stressed. The waiting room meters the admits so there is no overload. I also doubt the FIFA medals are creating much traffic with nearly unlimited mintages.

My laptop got kicked into the waiting room at noon, which I sort of expected. I tried to kick myself into the waiting room at 11:50 but it wouldn't let me in. LOL. I'm still at 16 minutes there. I will leave it open and see what happens.
I actually have no interest in the Merc, but I do like the silver medal. I may have to flip the set and buy the medal separately.

I managed to get an order in at 12:03 PM. It went relatively easily for me but the web site did do something very annoying. I had logged in to my account hours before the coin went on sale so that I could place the coin in my cart and immediately check out. I was still logged on when I refreshed my browser at 11: 50 AM or so which was when I first saw the waiting line.
Once it was my turn, though, the web site had logged me out and asked me to log in again when I was ready to check out. My user name is not an e-mail address so it took me a minute or so to figure out that there is a separate link to log on for people whose user names are not their e-mail addresses. If I had somehow failed to complete the order, I would have immediately quit the rest of this series.
Open another Browswer (Edge, Chrome, Safari, your phone, whatever...)
Log In again and purchase that way. I had to do that on one account....meanwhile, my phone is still telling me I have a 12 min wait...yet, I already checked out on another computer.
Didn’t know how that would go, as I don’t shop at the mint much. My last purchase from them was a proof set in 2019. The waiting room was smoother than I expected. In and out within 2 minutes of release.
