Have you guys ever considered using aluminum or brass rivets?.. Although the original plastic rivets yellow over time, do you still prefer them?

Easy to get these Chicago screws in black/gold/white/etc. Use whatever looks best for your holder. For me the original screws also very fragile, break easily if tightened too much.

Never got around to finishing this Mercury Dime holder, then removed all and put them in individual flips.

This holder inspired me to start my Liberty / Coronet $5.00 Gold Registry Set. It contained all 24 coins when I purchased it from Dave Bates for $1800.00 shorty before I left Rochester NY and moved to Atlanta in 1975. Most of the coins were high end AUs and low grade BUs with the highlight of the set being a 1907 in MS63. It made me wonder how long it would take me to purchase the previous 24 coins and that quest was finally accomplished when I snagged a 1892-O at a Atlanta show in 2012.
This on was for a Lesher House silver medal.....
Any one else remember all the hubbub around the blunt and pointed 5 and small medium and large bead 1965 Canada Silver Dollars.....

I remember all of the custom cut Capital holders similar to the Lincoln head shown above. I recall seeing shields for shield nickels and Civil War tokens (the hoard of Greenleaf - St. Paul MN CWTs were in a shield), waving flags, cars & ships, various state outlines, animals (Buffs) and so many more for competitive displays and topical collections. I recall once having a mini-hoard of Iowa commems in various color Iowa shaped holders and a small group of USS Monitor CWTs in an ironclad shaped holder.

Here is my raw Washington Quarter set from 1932-1998 in Capital Holders.
They are BU even the 1932-D but the photo really washed that coin out, but it is an MS-63 or 64

Decided to pull out some neat looking nickels and place them within this Capital Plastics holder.
All are lustrous, not showing up on the photos.
(I don't own a half dime that matches, unfortunately so would rather leave that spot empty.)

Don't know if it's anything special but I got it for 30 bucks along with the original case. The holder says mint set but the coins are proofs.
I collect world proof sets, coins featuring composers, mid-20th century U.S. proof coins, U.S. type coins, and whatever else I want.

Stunning coins.Here is my latest (arrived a couple of days ago).
Picked these sets off of eBay. Terrible photos in the listings.
To be fair, it is difficult to shoot photos through the Capital Plastics.What I thought and what appears to be GD to FN coins overall in the listings ended up with a few AU beauties.
Nice bonus? They're housed in the older (rounded corners) holders:

Very possibly! I'm nearly certain it's a one-off considering how small the collector base for these is. Would be amazing to find a star-shaped partner board for the silvers, but that would be an even tougher set to put together.
