A Capital Plastics Photo Thread

braddickbraddick Posts: 25,137 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have a few coins that don't fit so well within albums and are probably not worth sending to PCGS for slabbing. Capital Plastics steps up to fill this void.

I am hoping there are more than just a few of us that house some of your collection within these holders. I know they are not as popular as back in the 70s and 80s.

I'd love to see what you've got.
Here is one I enjoy owning:

Someone was talking about cleaning up slabs and scratches. It works on these also.

I had several of those holders back in the 70's and 80's.

I haven't any images to post. My LCS had a custom holder made for a 1900 type set, including the Lafayette Dollar. Before I started making albums, I inquired about making a custom holder for an 1891 year and mintmark set, though I abandoned the pursuit when I was quoted $200. That was some seven or eight years ago.

Those black holders are my favorites, especially with gold.

I would think a very scarce holder.

It does seem like an extremely niche market, but oddly enough I have the same one.

Were these made back in 1964 anticipating release of the new Peace Dollar, or is it a modern custom holder?
