I have a few coins that don't fit so well within albums and are probably not worth sending to PCGS for slabbing. Capital Plastics steps up to fill this void.
I am hoping there are more than just a few of us that house some of your collection within these holders. I know they are not as popular as back in the 70s and 80s.
I'd love to see what you've got.

Someone was talking about cleaning up slabs and scratches. It works on these also.

I haven't any images to post. My LCS had a custom holder made for a 1900 type set, including the Lafayette Dollar. Before I started making albums, I inquired about making a custom holder for an 1891 year and mintmark set, though I abandoned the pursuit when I was quoted $200. That was some seven or eight years ago.

It is interesting how that holder allows for five different State quarters yet doesn't offer room for both the Type 1 & Type 2 Standing Liberty quarters (or both types of Buffalo nickels...).
I would think a very scarce holder.

They apparently don't make them, so I made my own. I don't like the way the black one turned out. I could have done better but you get the point.

I did a little digging on the background on this one and nothing came up. The coins are pretty nice and I thought the holder was interesting.
This is a later variation of the holder shown above from the 1970's, as it includes the Eisenhower dollar. Most of the coins that were in it are now in PCGS holders.
Sweet coins! The Capital Plastics adds to the overall presentation of the above.
I just picked these two up this morning and am looking to filling them.
(The only coin I am missing raw is the 1909-S Indian.)

I have several Capital holders but the plastic screws were really yellowy and the heads were breaking off easily. Went on eBay and ordered a package of 100 Chicago screws (these are usually used for leather belts so the kit usually comes with a leather hole maker which I needed since I lost a little weight). They come in several different colors and work perfectly….(keeping the old plastic screws in a small bag just in case) and look very nice in my opinion. The Chicago screws are also flat so the holders can be stacked easy…..Cheers, karl

Were these made back in 1964 anticipating release of the new Peace Dollar, or is it a modern custom holder?
