I just added this to my Dwight Evans Master Set . These are difficult to find . Not a top-pop but I'm glad it landed here anyway !

This shows you the value of a good scanner. I bought this card from a online store. The pic was dark and the auto area was almost blacked out. It sat for a while, so I finally picked it up. If the scan was done correctly, it would have sold much sooner. The "Pinnacle Dufex" tech and autograph area worked well.

I've been a busy collector this month. Came across this box at a local comic store. I've been looking for one at a decent price.

Mike Brighams- well you'd harken back to the days of ice cream floats, shakes , and a basic menu- burgers, hot dogs, etc, etc. Sorta a high feluting Friendlys Ice Cream= a place where you took kids and parents just to chill and enjoy a day out
They refer to these as " Red Sox Coke" - but theres two distinct issues- the Coke only and the Brighams / Coke
I've had my BGS Dewey slabbed since 2008- think I have a PSA slabbed one buried somewhere
This ones got slight diamond canting, a weak corner and print dot in blue aabive the E/L letters in his position
For the series though its in great shape they tended to be hammered on corners due to handling with poor focus and print dots galore,

Not a "Mail Call" card but a good story card I received today.
My very close friend's father who is 76 years old pulled his childhood collection out from storage about a year ago, I been helping him sort his stuff and cherry pick Mantles, Jimmy Browns and other HOF players to send into PSA, well today a large group of the family and I went to a show today and when I arrived at his house this AM he gifted me this gorgeous Campy.
It was given to him from his cousin back around 1957 to 1959 time frame and he has had it ever since.
I was thrilled that he gave it to me, I never asked him for anything for helping him get his cards in order since I love cards, he asked me awhile ago what I liked and I mentioned how much I like the early Bowmans and especially Brooklyn Dodger players and he remembered and gifted me this great card.
Sadly he didn't have any early Mantles in with his early 50's cards his cousin gave him but he still has a great amount of HOF cards.

Here are two cards from some of the obscure sets I've taken a liking to.
The Baerga is a hard card to find and I'm not quite sure why . His card moves me ever closer to completing that tiny run from Topps .

Went to an auction last Saturday. There was a simple mixed box of nuts, bolts, and an assortment of spent WD 40 cans I really wanted. Spent the entire day waiting because the auction hand was guarding the box. Well, persistence pays off!!! I got the box and now I know why the box was being delayed/guarded!!

What type of pen was the Ruth signed with? That is one of the darkest signatures I've ever seen, although I'm sure I haven't seen as many as most.

I should have mentioned this when I posted one earlier this month but I was short on time. So, these are pretty fun pieces of team memorabilia that were issued by several MLB teams from the 1950’s into at least the 1980’s. They were mailers so they were folded and distributed in plain white envelopes in various ways - most often as a response to an autograph request but also with season ticket package renewals and newsletters. They’re flimsy as could be - think a Sports Illustrated magazine page - so rips, tears, creases, surface dents are incredibly common. In addition, kids usually pinned them or taped them up to display them. Lastly, as you might imagine, they’re very tough to find in any condition and that condition is usually poor. And that’s what makes this one all the more special: in addition to being the fifth example ever graded it’s also the single highest graded example.

I couldn't agree more, there is zero chance this is an actual 3 compared to the old way of grading or now, it's honestly silly but that is fine because I'm buying the card not the holder anyways and I'm not interested in the set registry
I think grades 2 through 4 are my wheel house, some gorgeous cards sit in these newer graded slabs now.
