Just picked up this Jordan rookie this weekend in the Heritage auction, and it also has the MBA silver label. Paid fairly strong for it and sold some 2nd -5th year Jordans and a couple of Ohtani’s to fund the purchase. Figured with Jordan rookies going up like crazy better grab one now as a placeholder until I find a centered PSA 8.

That's a good looking 6 Keith.
I remember there was a member buying up 9s when they were like 3 grand and people thought he was nuts? I believe anyway.

That would have been around 8 or 9 years ago, definitely pre-COVID. 3K was a fairly standard price point for a PSA 9 Jordan back then. That's when I sold mine for right around that amount. If I could aim an athletic sneaker directly at my forehead, I'd kick myself for that one. Oh well. Laugh and cry. Seeing PSA 1s and 2s go for that amount now, heck it would have been prudent to buy all of them.
I remember while a graduate student at Florida State in the Spring 1987, hauling to the checkout my 1987 Topps Rack Packs w/Mark McGwire (50 Topps McGwire cards) in the racks knowing the sequence...and all these 1986 Fleer Basketball wax boxes that nobody wanted at the checkout of T G &Y. Good grief...I could have had these for 1/2 the price on these 10 or so wax boxes! :'(
This lesson taught me to stick with vintage proven HOFs instead of projecting future HOFs…
My newest pickup and a weekend show pickup. I had one almost identical 26 years ago when I met the woman who became my wife. She became pregnant with twins and I had to let the car go but we agreed one day I could replace it, so I present to you my birthday/25 year anniversary present from my wife.
I had this card at the peak of Bo’s popularity and it was an awesome and rare card to have. I honestly do not know what I did with it but I no longer have it. I started looking up PSA 9s and I luckily snagged this one. I paid a lot more than 9s were going for even three years ago but given it’s only a pop 20 it’s still pretty hard to get. Not an easy card to get centered either and none of the raw ones on eBay would get anywhere near a 9.
