OSU losing to Miami is much more embarrassing and you guys are carrying a heavy load here doing everything you can with rhetorical narratives to save your fragile egos. OSU was the odds on favorite and then they evaporated. Look over there doesn’t change the facts. Miami.

Everyone knew Miami is a tough out as they beat ND, who I think was one of the best teams in the country, and they destroyed their last 5 opponents. The top 4 bye week gave Miami an advantage.

Where do you get your Egg Nog? OSU was favored by 9.5 Points - "Everyone knew"...

    Miami beat A&M 10-3 and OSU 24-14.

7 out of the 8 bye teams in the 12 team playoff lost. Indiana is the only one.

Speaking only for myself, I’m over the Miami loss. It was disappointing but I’ve learned and stated here that in College football anything can and often does happen. The thing about teams like Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, etc. is that they are able to maintain programs which are at the top year after year. That they lose 1-2 games in a season and are viewed as having failed says more to me about the fans and media.

We might go back and forth here about who’s best, but all these schools are winners and the affect they have on the lives of the players is profound. Most, maybe all of the young men involved look at this time as the best of their lives.

Facts. Here's another. 100% of teams losing in the CFP have not gone on to win the National Championship.

Same here. I would've been surprised if they had repeated after all the NFL talent they lost from last year. How many teams win championships with 1st year starting QB's?

Right now with the 4 teams left in the CFP it’s hard not to be pulling for Ole Miss.

The Bowl season and the CFP games haven’t been kind to the supposed strength of the SEC, playing each other has saved them. It’s odd that the “last man standing” is Ole Miss given the Kiffin BS.

When the final AP and coaches polls come out, I predict there will be 8 BIG TEN teams ranked.

    Ohio State
    Michigan
    Washington
    Illinois
    Oregon
    USC
    Indiana
    Iowa

They didnt destroy them. Asfords spent thee of his 4 years in in the SEC qat Aurbun and the original USC he knew what to expect.

State has been down since Leach died and they hired the wrong coach but they showed a lot to being on the right path again

Does trailing the entire game and losing by 2 touchdowns after being a 3pt favorite count as "getting embarrassed"?

They were 3 points late in the 4th and gave a td with like 2 minutes left. I dont even care about them other than that was the game the was on. Navy demolishing Cincy was the only game I cared about and am very happy with what happened

Yep, and I bet all four of those coaches would take the Ohio State head coaching position if offered.

And Saban............former Ohio State assistant ;)

Oh, and Saban was unable to win a natty as a BIG TEN head coach.

Yep, you're right again......but, the last time Saban faced OSU they got hammered 52-24.
Devonta Smith only played the first half due to a hand injury. After the game Saban said,
"we would have hung 73 on them if Devonta hadn't got hurt".
