And due to some of the games today, the question is begged as Alabama beats Missouri by 3 points and Ole Miss beats un-ranked Washington State by 3 points. Also, Alabama's loss to Florida State now looks really bad as the Seminoles lose to un-ranked Pittsburgh by 3 points and will surely drop out of the Top 25. Remember, according to @Basebal21 "Strength of Schedule" is really important.

All that and the 3 o'clock games have just started!! I see another shake-up in the Top 25.

SOS is very important which is why Bama winning against 3 ranked teams in a row two of which were road games is more important than a first game of the season loss. Bama still has at least 3 ranked teams left on their schedule. Thats brutal

I would say SOS is overrated. Missouri is ranked in the top 15 without beating any ranked teams.

and Penn St loses again, this time as a 21.5-point favorite

has there ever been a more precipitous fall from grace for a team that was near the top of the rankings

when are they going to flambé that worthless coach

Archie finally showed some life and was decent which is all Texas needed him to be all year.

PSU just LOL. Can we stop pretending Drew Allar is good

Also I dont think DJ Moore is very good despite a good roster and Ive posted that for a few weeks

You never seem to be able to grasp concepts and you never seem to know when I'm yanking your chain.

Go back 3-4-5 pages to where I say something about looking at SOS at the end of the season and try to figure out what it means. Consider Texas. When Ohio State beat them they were what, 1 or 2, I can't remember. It seemed like a big deal. Today they are unranked and they beat 6 Oklahoma. That is huge, but the fact that they have slipped really lessens the fact that they lost to Ohio State. But according to your logic it shouldn't because they were ranked so high.

You want to say that Alabama is really good because they beat ranked teams, what about their loss to a team(Florida State) that will shortly be out of the Top 25 because they lost to an un-ranked Pitt?? Your BS Strength of Schedule argument only sounds good in the moment when the victory takes place, but it looks a little different at the end of the season when the dust settles and we see that many of the previously ranked teams SUCK.

That's what going on in the SEC to a great extent and in the BIG 10 to a lesser extent, everybody sucks and beats everybody else who sucks.. There are very few good teams in NCAA football right now, teams who beat who they should beat very easily and also handle the true competition with relative ease. I need less than the fingers of one hand to count the really good teams.

Let the Top 10 shake-up begin. I swear, if the voters swap Ohio State and Miami(Fla) you'll hear me screaming. But I almost expect it.

Ohio State --- offense struggled a bit but the defense took care of business.
    Miami (FL) --- bye week.
Oregon --- they might not be as good as we thought.
Ole Miss --- one of large number of SEC pretenders, barely won against an un-ranked team.
Texas A&M --- if the Gators win it will wreck the Poll!!
Oklahoma --- as predicted, the upset of the week and another SEC pretender.
Indiana ---man, I misread the Hoosiers, they should be 3rd tomorrow.
Alabama --- barely one but probably the best SEC team. Quite a change from opening day but still fortunate today.
Texas Tech --- a battle for the Big 12 lead.
Georgia --- never underestimate the power of Georgia to shoot themselves in the foot.

It is really getting hard in the SEC to keep track of who has lost to who, when they lost and where were the teams ranked when it happened. Same thing in the Big 10. If you compare the teams, their records in the conference and overall it can be hard to know who sucks the most. I can't wait to post who I think the Top 10 teams are. It seems every week that 2-3 leave, 2-3 enter and there are 5-6 that shift around between 2-7.

    Ya gotta love it!! :p

Im well aware of when youre trying to get a reaction, I just like talking sports so sometimes Ill bite sometimes I wont.

Ive already stated for well over a year depth and injuries play a bigger role and in the new age talent is more spread out. Some people just get caught up with the name of the school and think its still the 1990s when there has been a massive changing of who is who that can drastically change from year to year and I dont over react to one week, I can also give credit where credit is due

Theres major differences between and overrated frauds like Illinois and PSU before the season and teams that just have a single issue like Texas FL or Auburn that have had QB problems. Arkansas could be undefeated with better ball security. Clemson is wildly under performing their talent level etc

Often times too much emphasis by fans gets put on the name of the school and their history as opposed to what is the current reality

That was a shame, I dont wish injury on any player. But he just wasnt good before the injury either, I guess it is a little bit piling on so my bad for that but the injury did happen with like 3 minutes left in the game.

That's really unfortunate for Allar, he'd had a good college career and was placing himself for probably a 1st round pick in the 2026 draft. Hard tell what his future will be after this. It looked to me like probably a left ankle injury as that foot was planted as he was hit.

Any details yet?? @Steven59 he's from nearby Medina High School.

No way Ohio State gets dropped from the #1 spot after a top 20 win on the road. And they covered the spread.

Georgia sure got lucky. That looked like an Auburn TD that would've put them ahead 17-0 in the 2nd quarter.
All the top SEC teams really struggled today.
Miami only has one good win on their resume. A 3 point win over the Irish.

Both teams got hosed on the Georgia Auburn play. Either thats an Auburn TD or a Georgia TD. In the end Georgia won by 10 so would have won anyways

Another interesting weekend in college football. One thing, well, actually two things are clear to me now. First, there are only two conferences which seem to have the best teams right now, the SEC and the BIG 10. Second, in the SEC there seems to be no team incapable of losing to any other conference foe, a fact which makes it difficult to determine what team(s) might challenge for the National Championship in January. It changes from week to week as the shuffling at the top of the AP Poll continues.

I think this week the biggest thing to watch is how the first place votes are allocated(currently 40/21/5). I don't seriously expect Ohio State to fall from the top spot as I facetiously posted yesterday, but my hunch is that they lose votes. That's what I'll be looking at. Below is how I see the Top 10 after a Saturday where some of the "best" teams struggled and a few even lost. Right now the best place to be would seem to be around 10-15, almost like that's a waiting room for entry to the Top 10. I figure the carnage at the top will continue next week.

    Ohio State.
    Miami(Fla).
    Indiana.
    Texas A&M.
    Ole Miss.
    Alabama.
    Texas Tech.
    Georgia.
    Oregon.
    Tennessee.
